Do we really need a Cypher section?
 

I think that shit is lame as hell... No one goes there, let alone frequents it.

New users, and people new to text seem to really like it to get into the swing of shit.. and if some veterans posted up once and a while, they could see how it "should" be done.

Having a fucking "cypher" section.. that no one uses stifles the sites growth, and makes it harder for new(er) members to actually get any enjoyment off of the site.

I liked when it was stickied in the OM, but the BA would work to... Hell, even the disc. board could use it at this point.... but just my 2 cents.

You claim cypher section stifles productivity, but I fail to see how that is possibly true. Any post in that section is a post that would otherwise not have existed. This thread, which is aiding in the sites activity, was inspired by the cypher section you claim does the opposite. Your contentions are false and must fall.

I don't get the problem....they are in use and they are liked, cyphers are the norm in all hip hop related forums, I don't use them much because it isn't really my thing but I think they are a good idea.

Just don't go in to them if you don't like them...it's just a place to fuck around with some rhymes in spare time, nothing serious...even if only a few people were using them, why get rid of it? It doesn't take anything away from the site.

Write me a 5 page report explaining the disadvantage of having a cypher section and I will take it into consideration
