arguing on why adults play video games

I always hear video games are for kids and i disagree. The target for 75% of these games are adults imo. Fighting games and sports games in particular, are complicated stuff to learn. Learning the combos for fighting games are no joke. Opinions?

According to pbs....

While most American kids do play video games, the center of the video game market has shifted older as the first generation of gamers continues to play into adulthood. Already 62 percent of the console market and 66 percent of the PC market is age 18 or older. The game industry caters to adult tastes. Meanwhile, a sizable number of parents ignore game ratings because they assume that games are for kids. One quarter of children ages 11 to 16 identify an M-Rated (Mature Content) game as among their favorites. Clearly, more should be done to restrict advertising and marketing that targets young consumers with mature content, and to educate parents about the media choices they are facing. But parents need to share some of the responsibility for making decisions about what is appropriate for their children. The news on this front is not all bad. The Federal Trade Commission has found that 83 percent of game purchases for underage consumers are made by parents or by parents and children together.

i agree 100 percent

and studies show it helps brain development in children as well as adults, but thats just because of the complicated inner workings of most games, and you learning and developing patterns to beat games, whether its figuring out when to use grenades, or when to hit a certain number of buttons in succession to counter attack and shti

to strategy games where ou are plotting moves in advance while simultaneously building your home base and shit

its good for people in general, i think its good for kids too

but word a good at least probably 75 percent of games are aimed at adults, they just clean some of them up enough so they can sell them to weird white people who dont want there kids playing a game with a mature label

Lets see i work, at home and at my job. I take care of my wife mentally and physically. Me and my stepdaughter play these games together even tho she gets big headed when i let her win lol. I dont play my game unless the wife is sleep or at work. I think my priorities are in order. Try again.
