First off this will be a invite only tournament. I have already sent some msgs to my personal favs on the site. I understand some of you may feel this is unfair to the newer guys and to that I say, fuck it. I want to begin rebuilding the base on what I consider a solid foundation. I would also hope those who feel they are being passed over still consider voting on this as that would give them first dibs on the next event.

I am also toying with the idea of this being a punch line only tourney, to get back to basics so to speak, but at the end of the day I will leave the final decision to the actual dudes competing.



I feel I've already typed too much, but I wanted to use this thread as a assurance to those competing that I won't half ass on my end. If there is this many characters in the "sign up" thread imagine how immense the mags will be.


No new forum no bullshit, just battles.

It's a cool idea but I don't think invite only will work unless some of the people you invite are new battlers, people who have the desire to show and put effort in, old heads have been proven to be unreliable. You need the right combination of dopeness and desire imo.

It would be dope if it works tho, just need to get people psyched up about it, at least someone is doing something productive.

Agree on some levels. Only the best competition motivates the best. On the same token only facing the best uplifts the newer talent. I have considered what you said already, but I appreciate you contributing in here.


This is step 1 of a multi part plan, with the ultimate goal being making this a better and more competitive place for newer battlers.

I like this idea bc people respect Hush's battling skills. Strikta got a much needed confidence boost by being invited by one of the battlers.

That being said I think this will work bc everything else for battlers isn't happening right now. Hush I think you should join though

Word @Hush it will definitely be a good thing for the site as long as people show up, and I agree that seeing the best on the site battling will inspire new heads to get better and battle more, that's a good point.

I'll try to drop a few votes if they're welcome, props for stepping up tho, somebody needed to, this is basically the last place keeping text alive. I've never been a super active battler but I like reading text battles and I do the odd one here and there and it would suck if it died.
