Rules

• Verses are due Friday,
  March 29th 2013 11:59 PM PST.
• Voting ends Sunday 11:59 PM PST.
• Battles that lack votes may close later.
• One sided battles may get closed early.
• Extensions are normally 24 hours
  (unless requested otherwise, that is),
  can be no longer than 36 hours
  and have to be granted by your opponent.

Line Limit:

• Min. = 10 lines
• Max. = 16 lines
• The max. can be higher if different is agreed upon by both.

Voting:

• Must vote on 5 battles and post your links.
• Post the links in the thread titled "Week 6 Voting Links".
• You will be punished if you don't post all 5 voting links.
  You will not like the punishment, so just vote so you
  don't have to cry later. Details about this are to be
  found in the "Week 6 Voting Links" thread.

General Rules:

• 1st person to post can't edit after the 2nd person posts.
• 2nd person to post can't edit after a vote has been made.
• Feeding = DQ.
• Recycling = DQ.
• Biting = DQ.
• No freeposting, swaying or bitching.
• Unless a picture battle is agreed upon,
  linking to your opponent's picture or posting it
  means you will disqualified.
• A check in isn't mandatory, but it is encouraged.
• If your opponent doesn't check in,
  you still have to post a verse.
• Competitors should agree on a line limit in their check in.
• If no line limit is agreed on, then the 2nd person to post
  must match the 1st person's line amount.

I got sharp taking this with one more quotable dope battle ya'll was very close i had to re-read the battle to decide a winner but im gonna go with sharp just think his quotables hit a lil harder, but thought doms 50 shades line was dope

This was pretty close tbh, for different reasons. so i broke it down:

both were solid reads but pretty close match for different reasons. I think Sharp had a couple concepts that were great, but the delivery of them just didnt help them reach their potential. I think Dominate had a pretty consistent verse throughout.

this was a close match, pretty consistent verses which for me came down to their haymakers, and that was sharp's breaking bad line vs. 50 shades of grey... the breaking bad one would have edged it out if the wording was polished, but the 50 shades of grey line was one of the funnier lines in the match i'd say.

v-Dominate

it was a pretty even match, with Sharp having been a bar pr so shy from keeping up with Dominate's consistency. good shit fellas.

I would vote but I try to stay away from Sharp's battles, considering I saw the entire thing being created.

idk. i think sharp had the more consistent verse here. like dom's k nine line... the wordplay was dope, but the connection to a 'dog-ugly girlfriend' was really loose. and that just didn't hit for me because of that. same with the boredom a son. make someone a son? hmm. yeah. kinda, but it wasn't executed well enough to hit for me. like, the wordplay was there, but you should've flipped it better to make it come across more effortless. sharp's opener was decent, but not hard enough to be a quote. ring a bell should've been worded better, but wasn't bad. so yea, i think sharp's misses are better. his excel line is funny and hits 'cause of that just like dom's 50 shades. but utmost was a little better than carved out imo and nate owin was a bit better than cross training. fuck. i really hate to vote on this. i can see this going the other way for sure, and some might say that i'm biased 'cause it's the contender match. so discount this vote if you want, @Sharp Nine, @Dominate. but i got sharp. dope shit tho. botw for sure.

felt like a mor personal attack. doms lines about the ultimate writer were good but not as direct as the utmost win and excel lines. could go either way but i think sharp pulled the upset
