nah, they don't. Why are you so obsessed with multi syllablic rhyming though? I know writers that havent perfected it but still would blow you out the water. I understand you rap, and that's your thing, but if you focus on your content more, eventually the syllable writing comes as more of an ease. I sometimes write without even trying to rhyme and i rhyme internally without knowing it. IT's just natural. no, not everything neeeds to rhyme perfectly. It can, but I don't think your content is even good enough for it to even sound good if you're asking this question.

I advise you draw a pentagram, place a chalk cariacture of Big Pun in the center (inscribed on obsidian harvested during a lunar eclipse) and place a lit blunt at each intersection of paths.

consume a pint of ram's blood and red-vinegar sherry, and recite the following:

O, Dead! Thus, in myddle-square
of Lyttle Italie, knowest not did we of
thy riddlance perchance, of men minced-per-slants;
with riddance to Athena-- 'nd diminished marble
and marvelled to-stance!

The people demand you change your formal title to Rhyme Prince-Regent

think of your verse as a hamburger. Your content is the meat patty - no doubt it's the most important part of the burger. This is what you should worry about first. Understand that writing is a process, and it takes even the most talented people a lot of time and dedication to arrive at a point where they're happy with their own writing.

In any case, use simple, single-syllable rhymes at first if you need; I can't stress enough that the most important thing is having something interesting to say (good story, insightful analysis, honest reflection, etc). Your concept is the bun (good to have at least somewhat of an idea of what you're trying to write before writing - the concept, like the bun, keeps it all together). Multis and internal rhymes and all those more complex aspects of writing mechanics, those are the condiments. They make a good verse better, but they aren't enough to make a good verse out of a shitty one.

To answer your question, no, not every syllable needs to rhyme. But what the others are trying to say is this: asking this question is missing the point. Start with the content and the rest will fall into place. I've seen way too many people who use a ton of multis and suck royally at writing a good verse. Don't be one of those guys.
