Albums you listen to without skipping a single track.

Arcade Fire - Funeral
OutKast - ATLiens
the XX - XX
Neutral Milk Hotel - In The Aeroplane Over the Sea
The Black Keys - thickfreakness
GZA - Liquid Swords
Menomena - Mines
Nas - illmatic
The National - Boxer
The National - The Alligator
Pixies - Surfer Rosa
Grizzly Bear - Shields
Raekwon - Only Built 4 Cuban Linx
Okkervil River - Black Sheep Boy
Royce da 5'9" - Death is Certain
Soundgarden - Superunknown
Nas - God's Son (1/2 of the first CD's I ever owned).
The White Stripes - Elephant
Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Its Blitz
Talib Kweli - Quality (1/2 of the first CD's I ever owned).

1) I'm probably missing a few. This is a mix of off the top and scrolling through my current iPod. I'm sure there's 2-3 I'm missing that'll annoy me tomorrow.
2) This is far from a favorite/perfect albums list. Of the albums listed, only Funeral, ATLiens, XX, Mines, Shields, illmatic, Aeroplane, Boxer, and Black Sheep Boy would be in consideration for my Top 10 Albums of All-Time. For instance, there are a couple of Antlers albums I'd pick over almost all these albums.

LIST YOUR SHIT BITCHES SO I CAN DOWNLOAD SUM EZ LISTENING

illmatic
36 chambers

about it if i'm being honest about liking every single track

PancakeBrah 03-03-2013 01:31 AM

36 Chambers is half-skippable to me, my hombre.

~RustyGunZ~ 03-03-2013 01:32 AM

well you like neutral milk hotel so we obviously have a slight difference in taste

PancakeBrah 03-03-2013 01:39 AM

NMH took quite a long time to make the list. But, regardless, touche.

~RustyGunZ~ 03-03-2013 01:46 AM

they actually have really good music but they also have a huge faggot singer that talks about rusty bikes and alaskan sunrises

PancakeBrah 03-03-2013 01:48 AM

I don't know anything about that.

I also fail to see how it interrupts how good that particular album sounds.

I know Jeff is a weird dude. But idgaf about that. Aeroplane is spectacular, even if it took me half a decade to make sure it wasn't an overrated mess.

~RustyGunZ~ 03-03-2013 01:51 AM

his voice is so annoying though and it seems like hes always making it sound as weird as possible on purpose

~RustyGunZ~ 03-03-2013 01:57 AM

listening to arcade fire funeral album now, good shiet

never actually peeped them always liked what I heard though

PancakeBrah 03-03-2013 01:57 AM

I could see how your first point could turn off people from listening.

Your second point is true, too. Seems like he's being purposefully difficult. He utilizes a weird pointed southern drawl of singing for no reason. Sings out of himself.

but the album is chock full of great melodies and memorable/catchy sections. There are a few 10/10 songs, and the tracks that aren't have a beautiful sounding portion somewhere.

Plus it just seems to seep into you if you listen to it enough.

PancakeBrah 03-03-2013 02:09 AM

At the Drive In - Vaya (EP)

T.I. king and ti vs t.I.p

Lil jon and the eastside boys

That's all I can think of at the moment

PancakeBrah 03-03-2013 02:34 AM

King is a very good album. I have fond memories of listening to King, actually.

I think that's half the battle.

Vulgar 03-03-2013 02:37 AM

Massive Attack - Mezzanine
Aesop Rock - Labor Days
Mobb Deep - Amerikaz Nightmare (my first CD I ever bought, actually solid all the way through)
Cannibal Ox - The Cold Vein
Illogic - Celestial Clockwork
The Roots - The Tipping Point
Common - Resurrection
Tricky - Maxinquaye

PancakeBrah 03-03-2013 02:41 AM

Labor Days is agreeable.

I thought Tipping Point was horrible. Illadelph Halflife is close, though.
