Given a quiet afternoon, months of warning, and the shot being fired from the weapons maximum range limit, could you duck a fifty cal?

I guess, yeah for the first question. But probably not by much.

And for the second question, sound is pretty slow, and depending on the range and the speed of the bullet, sound may or may not get to you first. But my answer is likely to be no, as snipers have killed people from over a mile away.
