Rules

Due Dates:

• Verses are due Thursday,
  February 28th 2013 11:59 PM PST.
• Voting ends Sunday 11:59 PM PST.
• Battles that lack votes may close later.
• One sided battles may get closed early.
• Extensions can be no longer than 36 hours
  and have to be granted by your opponent.

Line Limit:

• Min. = 10 lines
• Max. = 16 lines
• The max. can be higher if different is agreed upon by both.

Voting:

• Must vote on 5 battles and post your links.
• Post the links in the thread titled "Week 2 Voting Links".
• You will be punished if you don't post all 5 voting links.
  You will not like the punishment, so just vote so you
  don't have to cry later.

General Rules:

• 1st person to post can't edit after the 2nd person posts.
• 2nd person to post can't edit after a vote has been made.
• Feeding = DQ.
• Recycling = DQ.
• Biting = DQ.
• No freeposting, swaying or bitching.
• Unless a picture battle is agreed upon,
  linking to your opponent's picture or posting it
  means you will disqualified.
• Competitors should agree on a line limit in their check in.
• If no line limit is agreed on, then the 2nd person to post
  must match the 1st person's line amount.

On RIA, I read your verses. The last half are trash, you shout the wrong lines.

I thought bleak came with enough to seal him the victory here, had a few ok name plays and really i thought he outshined Mac here. Mac didnt really have much, his attempts were meh and needed fresher concepts.

Mac - your verse was kind of creative which is good, but most lines lacked something to make them memorable, such as a harsh punch or a clever wordplay. The wife and kids line was almost for the punch. I'm guessing you two know each other and he's a gamer - if so then it's good how you came personal as well. Try to rhyme more than one syllable whenever you can (without killing the wording), because it makes the reader catch the rhythm better and makes the verse come off more swagged out. Keep at it.

Bleak - opener and closer were both cool. Tbh I didn't get the references in all the bars inbetween. But it doesn't matter, you got it off the other 2 bars.

Mac, you've really elevated since I last read your verses. I think if you work on your wording a little more, you'll get it. I think bleak took this with one more quotable, and his nonquotes were stronger as well.
