Lucid dreams is dope as fuck yo.

It started out as a medium-ish intense nightmare as I was being chased by some kind of soul hunters from the depths of Hell that wanted to snatch my spirit and leave my body immortal on earth in eternal darkness with insanity and depression. When I realized I was dreaming I stopped running and made them vaporize into black mist. When they were gone the title of this thread should explain the rest. Just turned night to day in the dream and proceeded with awesomeness.

Lucid dreamers of NC; get on my level.

Lucid dreaming isnt like Religion where you can choose to believe it or not, its a fact, it happens.

OP get at me when you astral travel, then we will talk.

I'm a natural lucid dreamer, it means that I didn't have to go through these steps at all. I had my first lucid dream as a child, then for some reason it took some years until I experienced it again. Due to my dreams often being ''crazy'' (like the one in my first post), and that I remember most of them by default, I understand that I'm dreaming and manage to get in control. Sometimes I can tell I'm dreaming by the atmosphere alone at this point.

@Innovator: The video Mael posted is among the best videos I've seen so far that easily shows you/explains great methods that has worked for people that wants to become lucid. However, the definition of lucid dreaming is just being aware that you're dreaming. Getting ''full'' control of them, and being able to change your surroundings can be hard and limited. Even flying or creating constructions can be difficult as your brain may conform to the real world and tell you what's what (gravity, colors etc.), identifying this and letting go gives you ultimate control (ultimate control is debatable in some circles) and you can even prolong your lucid dreams by continuing when you enter the next dream (kinda like the movie Inception). I struggled a little bit with all of this the first times I was lucid dreaming, how this works is extremely different from person to person tho'. Prolonging a lucid dream is the hardest part for me and I've only done it 2-3 times.

Lucid dreaming has taught me a lot about life as well when I haven't just fucked around and had fun. I've understood that people I project through dreaming is parts of my subconscious. Knowing this I've had some pretty intense and interesting self-reflective debates with these projections of the mind on how I can better myself as a being, understand myself better or getting tips on how to tackle hardships on subjects like existential crisis, complicated love affairs and depression. I recommend trying it out, but be aware and alert as the answers you get can mindfuck you quite a bit.

Sleep paralysis is a bitch tho', but it's only frightening the first 2-3 times if you should happen to experience it. When you manage to identify sleep paralysis you should be able to calm down and get back to sleep.

@King Masa II: I don't believe in astral projection. I believe they're just powerful dreams, or a state of mind you can reach through meditation etc.

I've had dreams where I've hovered above my own body in bed, gone through dimensions to other worlds and even visited ''Nirvana'' and had philosophical debates with devine creatures etc. Some of these dreams could be identified as (although light in comparison to what some people have experienced) astral projection through sleep, but I don't believe in this kind of stuff even though I've gone through space, time and dimensions to get a better understanding of myself. They're just powerful and enlightning dreams to me that opens up for interpretation and gives you a glimpse of your subconscious mind, nothing else.
