What's the longest you've ever stayed up straight?
effing Q4 for clients and end of year stuff is killing me this year.
I got 2 hours of sleep tues night/wed. morning. but how many of you have broken the 48 mark? if you can fight through the several "almost past out moments", like hours 30-36 were the hardest for me i'd say... from there though, it gets better... it's almost like if any of you have ever tried fasting for 3 days... by the time you eat again, you realize you probably needed so much less of it than you take.... |
Three hours of sleep over a 72-hour span is my record.
|
5 days.
|
Been around the 48 hour mark for work.
Not sure I exceeded it or was a lil under. Shit gets to be like dream by that point. |
i'v broken 48 easy. maybe 60ish. slept fot about the same too lol
|
Strik be taking them weed naps.
|
lol
When I did that lil stretch there was alotta drugs involved. Bout 8 years ago I did that.. won't ever do that or anything close to it ever again. |
yea shit... damn im surprised that many have lol.
Exactly Metts on the dream front dude.... But that's the kinda cool state once you get past physical exhaustion well it's the state i was waiting for at this point because i still need to work on something and am at least a bit more cognizant lol BUT --- were all of ya'll like druggin it up and shit during those times? |
Nah. Was working but when I do stretches like that the sleep is always the best ever.
Best then after sex sleep. You dont even remember falling asleep. Thats that shit right there. |
i remember counting the hours by back in college. i hit 54 hours at one point, delirious, manic, and laughing all at once. whoever said once you get by a certain point, it gets better, it's true. however it does suck waking up at 11 o'clock at night a day later and everyones going to sleep and you know the cycle is gonna start all over again
|
I actually remember staying up like that & the crash ruining my thought process for about a week afterwards.. it was horrible.
Definitely fried my nugget a little by doing that. |
I used to have clinical insomnia. I want to say 5 days. But it was a constant slur for about a few months which, is honestly probably one of the worst feelings ever. Like worse than being clowned on a forum site for not having 20 dollars to provide for yourself or your family and bragging about going to jail and having your kid probably not even recognize you and will probably call some other guy daddy. Way worse.

sooo --- in the like waken meditation/alpha mode --- how free did you get from the 'ol matrix my friend? that the state where the space between matter starts to matter most.. it is very trippy, literally, because of what you can tune into if you let yourself. alas, i know how i sound and don't want the sincerity of what i'm saying to get lost in assumed exhaustion lol |
3-4 days (most likely a few hours over 4). Don't know how long but I started hallucinating (audible and visual, slight hints of sensory), so there's that. Nah, never done any drugs other than weed and alcohol in case you wondered, so nothing to ''help'' me stay up for that long.
|
it was 3.5 days
work and travel, but i slept i say maybe an hr from nodding toward the end intermittently shortly after i assed out, and woke up to the phone ringing abt somethin important |

curious, do you believe in the other side? interested in what your experiences are as an insomniac, because i could see an individual having a higher propensity to tune in than the typical sleeper but at the same time, everyone gets dessensitized overtime and can shape their experience around their expectations rather than their experience reshape their expectations... |

It's also funny how, at least for me, the first night of sleep I will actually get less than i expect, like there's a latency to it --- i'll get hit hard on like Sunday and Monday though lol... and word up @Objective --- just like when people start dosing or waking up and they think they 'heard something' from a dream and question whether it really happened -- there is certainly the same "projection of your subconcious" opportunity in a waken state while drained... not unlike deep meditation would be i guess or strong visualization but yea man, that shit gets me the worst... I have a wall fountain in muh office, since i work from home and tried to make it all zen like lol... but when i step out and the sound is muffled a bit --- it might as well sound like a TV show is on in my office with a conversation happening literally like your shroomin or something. and then the eeriest sounds, for those who have experienced you know exactly what i mean i'm sure, the damn high-pitched frequencies... if a washer or something is running or whatever, iunno... just makes me think about life a LITTLE bit differently |
24 hours. The fuck am I trying to stay up 3 days for? I like my sleep. 6 hours minimum.

at the same time, i just keep on catching myself staring at shit and having very little sense for whether it was seconds or fucking minutes so to conclude what pretty much everyone was saying, yea, this probably just sucks how the fuck am i going to present this tomorrow, i'm going to fall asleep while runnin a webex lol |
After the 2nd day you must be so sluggish and mentally unstable. It might be a good spiritual experiment...
