Naw what's it about?

Yeah that movie was soft as fuck. Princess Mononoke is about this badass dude that kills a demon but it infects his arm, and it gives his arm ridiculous strength but also taints his soul with rage that will eventually consume him... He leaves his village to seek a forest god that can help him, but the forest is forbidden because its populated by gigantic animal gods


That's the gist. The. Fight scenes are dope as fuck and the story is even better.

The original Gundam (with the robot mechs not that pussy tiny animated shit) was that show as well

neon gen is imo the most thought provoking anime out. religious, philisophical and psychological connotations abound in a mecha storyline unfortunately featuring a little bitch nigga as main character. Other than that the sotryline is complex and crazy as fuck. Basically mysteriously these big alien niggas they call angels are destroying shit and only 14 y/o niggas can pilot mechas to defeat them. The mechas are 99% human and when the mechas feel pain so do the humans piloting them. U gotta watch it the shit is insane

Some dope ones on netflix are Samurai 7, Death Frenzy, Kenichi, Samurai Champloo, Guin Saga, Desert Punk, not sure if Ghost in the Shell is still on there but thats what The Matrix was based off pretty much

My Neighbor Totoro is my fav Studio Ghibli film. Yes, it is a kid's movie, but, it's dope.

Actually all of the Studio Ghibli flicks are cool IMO. Kiki's Delivery Service, Ponyo, Mononoke-hime, Spirited Away, etc.. all of them. Watch all of them. Good animes aren't just about lol ninja fights and giant mecha wars and shit.

But there are good ones for that stuff too lol.

Nah. Spirited Away is easily the worst shit as far as anime that I've ever tried to watch. It's just boring and the story isn't good enough to make up for that. I don't like boring/weird/no action anime's. That shit's for pussies

Got Princess Mononoke on DVD myself. Actually managed to destroy some social stigmas about anime by making my friends watch it. Studio Ghibli is dope but they also make some children movies like My Neighbour Totoro etc. Beside of Studio Ghibli I found Death Note, Samurai Champloo (big ups to the people behind the music on that one, Nujabes should be familiar to some of you), Elfen Lied, Darker than Black and Ghost in the Shell (the movies) to be pretty dope as well. I hated Cowboy Bebop actually, couldn't get myself to watch more than 3 episodes.
