throne away.

Words whipped together, slaves to the pages
Eye lash an ink splash—the wave that invades us
A master of the craft? Or a chapter from the past?
Sweat and tears reared an empire for the ages
I siege to seize them, breathe in and free them—
A continent of consonants, my legion of demons
The letters are unfettered, bathed in a cadence
Of unchained melodies, bars from their cages
A blade to its skin—showered a page with a pen
Cut across the surface, birth the stains from within
I read chivalry's dead, to knight is gone today
Rise to see the son who'll put me in my grave—
Prince and a pauper, all the paper stones to play
Kingdom comes crumpled up and throne away.

Nice use of alliteration and word usage in this. It was poetic, but I still feel like it could be rapped. That's rare. Although this is short I can see you have talent. I hope to read more of your work soon.

Hey, buddy. Doing well. Busy with work/life. Felt like writing something real quick.

dope wording. thought it was a tight concept too. i think the last couple lines you had momentum, shouldve kept going. welcome yo.

Vulgar 12-07-2013 07:46 PM

This piece was cool. You kept an old book/medieval literature feel going that was effective. Not much else to say because it was short.

Keep doing you

Nice idea. Good to see you.

Contrary to the worries displayed here, I think you still mostly have it. The wordplay was sharp. The targets were hit. This was nothing special as far as a Cimmerian verse, but it was an effective display of your talent. Welcome to the board.
