Wes Welker
is he easily the most overrated WR out right now?
|
White Receiver?
|
He's overrated now that's he's had like 2 or 3 bad games? lol ok
|
he's always been overrated to me and his career took off once he started getting targeted by the GODS of QB'ing aka Brady and Peyton Manning so he looks good
but he's a fuck up even then and he helped the NYGiants beat the Patriots in the SB by not catching a wide the fuck open ball we can bring in stats to say how he's not overrated but his play just doesn't seem as good as ppl rate him(all the WR lists i've seen have him like top 10 OVER Roddy White, Julio Jones, Dez Bryant, Andre Johnson) EDIT: this nigga's wife was about to have Ray Lewis catchin bodies too smh fuck his career |
He is top 10
would he rated so high if manning/brady werent throwing to him? no. I think torrey smith is better and probably do better with said QBs but he's a completely different type of wr. Welker is the best slot wr in the game right now |
and that's where i disagree tbh
he wasnt shit till he was on the coattails of the QB gods, i dont think he's anything w/o them tbh |
Shout out to Megatron
Lion Nation |
calvin's easily the top WR in the NFL
he could've saved Ryan Leaf's career if he was a WR for the chargers during that time |
Lol. He was with the dolphins before.
That doesn't count. The dolphins ruin receivers. Except now. Tannehill shows promise. |
nah
top WRs can be dominant on almost any team |
Not consistently.
Lol. Lol. If the quarterback can't get you the ball it doesn't matter how good you are. |
as i said
almost any team, throwing the ball up on a 1 on 1 is not hard unless the person holding u is like aqib talib from the pats |
1 on 1 skill might be the worst measure of a wide receiver.
That means you can jump higher lol so what? Jerry Rice was slow and his vertical wasn't very good. And he's the best receiver to ever do it. Route trees, acceleration, agility, releases, breaks, smarts, balance, etc. All better measures of a wide reviewer than who can catch a jump ball. |
He's a slot receiver, a glorified scat back comin off 5 yard in/out routes and bubble screens.. When he catches the ball, the ball 95% of the time travels 10 yards or less
The big boys play on the outside He ain't top 10 |
Welker top 10 doing it now
|
Quote:
even tho he has a lot of qb help hes still beast as fuck. lol |
idk
every time i see welker play, it's a facepalm. the botched call to have the broncos lose against the pats was called by me before it even happened, wes welker is a fuck up in crunch time, so much. he's not catching anything clutch, he drops them. he just runs bubbles and hitches and gets blocks. he not the one catching vertical routes on any team, he's not even the #1 receiver. he's like the 2 or 3 at ALL times. |
seems like youve only seen his last 3 games. but youre right hes been sucking recently
|
no
more than that basically his upbringing on the New England Bradys and from there, on he's not THAT good, he's decent |
I think his inglorious last 3 games has been more the ineptitude of manning/opponent.
Firstly, his mistake on the punt return. Was his fault. For sure. No question. But as a receiver. You done play in New England for 6 years and the come back and get the best of Belicheck. He knows him too well . The other 2 games are division games against a division rival. So... Yeah. Anyway, he's still the best slot guy in the game and probably ever. However, the slot wasn't a position every play in the nfl until welker went to New England really. That's when the nfl turned the corner into a full out passing league. Spread the defense and make plays. Before welker the Patriots were a I form team for yearrrrrrs. So really you can say this. Welker was SO good that he changed the Patriots into what we know them as now. Boo ya. Meth wins. :) |
