the dude is not a therapist/psychologist in any clinical sense guaranteed and does not have any kind of completed formal degree. will bet a pinky toe on it.

I'll throw in my pinky toe as well. What I do believe is that he finds psychology to be interesting and has read up on it on wikipedia articles and whatnot, but a degree? Highly unlikely.

It may be the truth but it does not seem like your plan is working, he is not taking anything on board...this is what i always say about religious people who claim they want to help hut then speak in a way that is very unhelpful and unrelateable...are you really trying to help or are you just trying to have your voice heard?
