From a skillset standpoint this is the most intricate album of the year. Period.

The metaphors are horrible. He literally does a rubber/glue/sticks to you wordplay. Everything he says is said well, his delivery is great. The problem is nothing he's saying means anything. At all. The best Eminem is the Eminem that does everything he does in this song (schemes, delivery, enunciation) while being relevant, perverse, or articulate. He's none of those here. Absolute lack of substance. If I wanted to listen to a rapper just display technical skill for no reason but to display technical skill, which I don't, I'd listen to Crooked I or something. This song is so far removed from what made him dope in the first place. But people who want to Stan over him are looking so hard for just a glimpse of the old him that they hear him overtly trying to be technical and skilled that they hear this and think 'EMINEM IS BACK!'. It's garbage. I'd listen to any of his prime era songs over this. Any. I'm not reverse-Stanning. It's just a boring track made to appeal to his disenfranchised fanbase.

I agree. There are five better songs on the album. In addition to the meaningless lyrics, there's not much song structure here, and the length isn't warranted, and some of the parts are not very good. "Bad Guy" kills this and is the best song on the album. I'd put "Legacy," "Love Game," "Headlights" and "Evil Twin" above it, too.

It's better than PancakeBrah seems to be giving it credit for, but not by much.

But that was a really good video.
