How do you simply embed youtube videos on this site
 

Let's assume their no link by the video that gives a copy and paste embed option

And [youtube] [/youtube] doesn't work


Can anyone give a very simple guide on how to make this happen

Just post the link to the vid. No need to use BB-codes. Just make sure the url is clean (meaning; no excess info in the url, no mobile links, http instead of https etc. The youtube-link in my signature is a perfect example of a ''clean'' youtube-link to embed it to this site.)

Give me an example what one would look like that would embed itself ... Of course leave something obvious out so it doesn't post

Every time it try it this way it just posts a link not a vid

And by mobile links are you saying you can't embed from your phone ?

Paste the entire youtube link. make sure it's "http://" and not "https://" though.

Just edited my post. And ye, you can, but you got to remove the m.youtube.com thing.

Copy that link and take out the s in https

Basicly this, but if it's a redirection URL, mobile link or part of a playlist etc. it wont show up due to ''excess info'' in the link and this site wont pick it up. Just make it clean and it should show.
