quick question

why do people say x artist/song/genre/sub genre is good for bumping in the car??

I never got that.. it's usually used in the context of being like "Yeah, I know it's not really "good" music, and I wouldn't normally listen to it, but I like to play it in my car".

Maybe I approach driving different than ya'll? but I got God Loves Ugly in the ride right now.. and I also enjoy those tracks when I'm at home chilling. I can't understand like, "ok I'm sittin in the car now, all of a sudden I wanna play Waka Flocka when normally I would turn his shit off..

cause i be meanmuggin dudes at the traffic stops, and you can't do that with bohemian rhapsody bumping in the background

that is not a good way to conduct yourself.

dangerous, youth-murdergangs will do body harm to ppl who give them bad faces in public

but it really is kind of just that....If I go out to a club or something, I definitely don't want to hear Dance with the Devil. In the car, I typically prefer really hard music - it could be hip hop like Royce or 50 Cent or even heavy Rock. But when I'm listening to music in headphones, it's normally mood music...the chill stuff that I just want to vibe to. When I'm coming out of a break up, I want to cry like a bitch listening to a kelly clarkson CD cause it makes me think she didnt know how good she had it. Or if I'm depressed, I'm gonna be in the bathroom with a razor and my chemical romance track on

Ya I get what you're saying.. the diff is when youre bumping something you have your soundsystem; cranked... if you got subs installed then bass heavy music (not Blu, MF Doom, Atmos but like... Waka, TI, EDM etc) sounds dope.

I listen to other music, like chill stuff, on blast in my car too... but for most people who don't have a full audio setup but only a sub/ factory stereo, highs and mids sound distorted and off with high vol.. which is why most ppl don't bump it

Also some ppl refuse to blas shit that's not hij energy

weird..

I definitely understand moods and relation to music, and even activities.. like I would get it if someone said they like to listen hard shit when they're at the gym/running etc

but driving of all things.. I fig you'd want the chill shit

shrugs

I still listen to atmosphere and shit in the car from time to time, but as a general rule I go for hard music. Maybe it's because the general message that i want to signal to women and men around me is that I'm super masculine.

Or maybe I just want black people to like me

do you not like different music at diff scenarios reed

I like to bump old school 50 type stuff when I'm in the car. I like my music raw and stupid when I'm driving.

When I'm listening in front of a PC or something, I like to actually listen to lyrics tbh and I try new shit.
