I feel like he never gets a fair shake because the street crowd that most of his stuff is meant for is turned off by his pop sensibilities on big singles (with "Blurred Lines" being the perfect example).

Also, that S has no meaning.

Swerve 10-31-2013 11:57 AM

T.I the gawd.

Been bumping him for a while. He's got good bangers for the car for sure.

Ghost1 10-31-2013 01:24 PM

ITS STAN TIME. EMINEM FRENZY IS INEVITABLE!

but yea...ti is dope.

Strikta 10-31-2013 01:26 PM

Trap Music was his best joint.

He's fell off lately tho, imo.

Certain 10-31-2013 01:27 PM

I go for King. I really go for King. I think it's one of the best albums of the past decade. But Trap Muzik and Paper Trail were both really good. All three are really different, too.

veritas 10-31-2013 01:27 PM

his verse on greg streets "all i know" was epic.

other than that...eh.

Greed 10-31-2013 01:27 PM

No mercy I let play straight through

Certain 10-31-2013 01:30 PM

Over the last decade: T.I. > Eminem.

RichardCorey 10-31-2013 01:38 PM

Paper Trail was the most lyrical southern album of its time. Straight up. Brilliant work.

Strikta 10-31-2013 01:39 PM

Paper Trail was decent at best... iono.. I can see why some ppl like it the most.

Trap Music being the GOAT album of his is solely my opinion... it has a huge nostalgia factor for me too. Could be exactly why.

Assuming "its time" specifically means between Speakerboxxx and Sir Lucious Left Foot: Son of Chico Dusty, then I agree.

I mean Ludacris is more in the goat category then tip IMO

T.I had made some memorable music but I don't think he's in the upper echelon of hip hop I think he's in the next teir of well above avg but not good enough at the same time.

Paper trail is prob his most complete album to date

PancakeBrah 10-31-2013 06:55 PM

No, he is not. Let's cut the hyperbole down.

Also;

Correct title is 'T.I. one of the GOAT'

King Ra. 10-31-2013 07:01 PM

T.I. is one of the GOAT.

Am I the only one who liked the Urban Legend album here? I thought that was pretty good. King/Paper Trail are great albums, but I liked Trap Muzik the most. That is one of the more hard-hitting street southern albums ever laced, IMO.

Certain 10-31-2013 07:02 PM

Ludacris can't approach T.I.'s versatility. I would put him in my top 30 greatest of all time.

Also, PancakeBrah, stop stealing my grammar notes.

Split 10-31-2013 07:03 PM

if you disagree, you might not realize how good his verses are when he features on a track

Luda is more lyrical, has one of the best flows, is more creative, has made better commercial tracks and is a better actor ( this is just a jab and has nothing to do with music lol ) ... T.I is a much better street artist but that's about the only distinct advantage I see him having on Luda that no one can of should argue. Also Luda completely destroyed T.I on stomp, the destruction was so bad they took T.I off the track and dubbed another artists verse in.

Luda is an overall better artist in my eyes. Luda's prerelease therapy mixtape may be better then T.I's whole catalog ok maybe I'm going overboard but I still think Luda is a better all around artist.

Split 10-31-2013 07:12 PM

Luda is less lyrical, is less creative and more openly commercial, yet has no GOAT tier albums. Your anecdotes are useless and baseless

No, I'm familiar.

I just disagree with your assertion. That's fine; opinions are different, and our differences are what makes the world so interesting./frankmetts
