an acquaintance of mine went to burning man over the summer and subsequently wrote a research paper on his experience. apparently it's a trip. it becomes some little microcosm of civilization for a week. a society of "freedom" and whatnot. they develop their own temporary culture, create something just to burn it down.

Yea I thought the same thing, but the concept intrigued me. I hear that all transactions are done without the exchange of money.

yeah he said it was more of a barter system. i assume food and clothes etc.
