Drake has cool lyrics sometimes and ofcourse the songs sound good he has millions to play with for beats and production. 1/2 of this site could go toe to toe or surpass him lyrically if they had the same amount of practice; that's all any skill really is, a lot of practice. Drake doesn't need street cred. He raps about being lonely, not killing people. He's not Rick Ross; the Degrassi background is as much a part of his rap as anything else.

Music quality and toughness level are not correlated in any way. Get over it. If you think every rapper you consider "hard" has the actual bodies and eight-balls to his name that he claims, you're a fool. I give props to Drake for being real, though I must agree with RichardCorey that he has slipped a bit since So Far Gone.
