Oats
@oats how's paleo going? I started back a week ago and it's all pretty smooth.
Missing some cheese and grains, but overall enjoying the diet Btw, how was that "bullet proof" coffee you were talking about? Not really missing coffee all that much |
dude, the bulletproof coffee has been easily the best part of being paleo. check it out, upgradedself.com. The coffee is clutch because I do intermittent fasting (I don't eat until noon at the earliest, wake up at 530 everyday). I put unsalted, grass-fed butter in it and MCT oil, it's the shit.
other than that it's been going well, haven't been 100% (a couple days I had pizza), but I've been feeling good about everything. just a tad bit costly. Been grinding almonds and berries, and haven't experimented much for dinner foods so I've been eating the same style stir-fry of kale, carrots, broccoli, steak or chicken, and asparagus. It's good, but I should probably play around with it more. Had paleo pumpkin pancakes the other day, those were bomb. Any meals you can suggest? |
Dude, I just got some ground veal. Diced up some cauliflower rice and added some coconut/almond milk for the sauce.
Shit was bomb! I'll post some stuff later tho. Did almond pancakes and biscuits. Shit was gooood! |
slow metabolism ass niggas, 6 pack with a wendy's diet what up
|
nice @Untold, I think I might try that tonight
|
this is exactly what i'm talking about.. you gotta get creative with the recipes on this diet. i think tomorrow i'm gonna just keep it normal. eggs, bacon and something? maybe or not.
tell me about this "till noon fasting" your doing.. hows that working? is it because of the bullet proof coffee? i mean, is it really all that? is the investment REALLY worth it? i'll start incorporating that into my diet next. one thing i remember doing was a mexican themed night with my girl and her family. we all decided to make our own salsa, and did some sort of paleo mexican casserole.. it was awesome. |
the purpose of fasting is to get your body accustomed to getting its energy from your stored fat, as opposed to getting it from your caloric intake. in the coffee you mix butter and MCT oil. the butter is to give you omega 3s and also make you feel full (kinda like how eggs make you less hungry throughout the day). The MCT oil speeds up the process of ATP production, so it makes the energy transfer from your fat more efficient. Then the coffee just gives you that caffeine boost to bring it all together.
If you got 50 bucks to spare, order the coffee starter pack. It's two pounds of coffee plus 32oz of MCT oil. For me, it's been the best part of paleo easily. |
just curious
does this 'bulletproof' coffee suppress your appetite more than normal coffee does? |
@Art no, it doesn't. It's normal coffee, just fair trade, organic, and has minimal toxins.

well DAMN.. looks i'll be investing in some of this coffee.. do you drink it everyday?
or is it a once a week type of thing.. i'll be doing more research |
I drink it every week day. I try to be caffeine free on weekends.
