I know at least three people who think this is the best song of the past decade.

It's up there.

Not my cup of tea at all. Too new age, hey look at me, I'm white and I just turned 20/21'ish for me

But it will fade to black sooner than later.

got a chuckle from that. this song is good/not great to me. I dig folksy tunes as much as the next man, but not much separates this from the rest of them except for how long it is imo.

I always found "The Trapeze Swinger" too one-note. But I say the same about Bob Dylan's "Desolation Row," so take that for what it's worth. My favorite Iron & Wine song:
