First off - the obvious. The shooting was a tragedy and should never happen. I am against violence and bigotry.
The following shows you what happens when you offer a contrarian viewpoint.
------------------
My reddit post:
The left's rabid blame-game of (almost all) conservatives for the mass shooting has me defending this right-wing lunatic Boebert.
Let's get this straight, I would vote for roadkill over her. But she HAS been basically accused of DIRECTLY causing this violence. "Blood on her hands", etc.
I'm trying to forgive the rabid left (a tragic incident has occured; they are understandably reacting emotionally and looking for blame literally everywhere). That being said, it was common decency for Boebert to tweet that it was a tragedy, should never happen, - thoughts& prayers, etc.
Can people not walk and chew gum at the same time???
Her PERSONAL 2nd amendment beliefs, her PERSONAL beliefs that she doesn't want kids watching drag shows, or minors who are too young for a tattoo to be able to undergo puberty blockers or surgery--- You may DISAGREE with these opinions, but it's another step entirely to say they directly lead to the horrible violence of a mass shooting. She can HAVE these beliefs and STILL think the shooting is terrible.
I'd appreciate any hateful replies to this to also include some form of rational disagreement complete with reasons.

You're certainly free to ban whomever, I guess. However: I am not a bigot. I'm a contrarian who cited FBI CRIME STATISTICS on MURDER RATES to make a point. *thought it was a different post that got me banned* Anything that disagrees with YOUR worldview is bigotry? Pretty lame. Snowflakes who can't handle a difference of opinion or FBI statistics on crime, lol. If you'd be so kind, please explain how my post was bigoted. Thanks in advance for your response. Have a great day.

You defended a monster.
You lied about trans people and you lied about appropriate and recommended treatment.
You'll feel more at home on a white supremacist website

"You defended a monster." In what way did I defend the shooter? Or was it Lauren Boebert? If it was Boebert, I'm simply defending her right to tweet that it was a tragedy and she's shocked and thoughts & prayers. I simply said it's wrong to blame her directly and say she's got blood on her hands.
"You lied about trans people and you lied about appropriate and recommended treatment." In what way did I lie about trans people? Regarding appropriate and recommended treatment, I was defending conservatives' RIGHT to BELIEVE that young children are too young to chemically or surgically change genders. That's not MY belief, I was DEFENDING THEIR RIGHT TO HOLD THAT BELIEF. I am certainly not a white supremecist --and am curious how race comes into play when you're talking about a transgender issue.
I was defending Boebert, yes, but that's not bigotry or hate speech. If you feel your community is too soft or sensitive to deal with/ MAKE ARGUMENTS AGAINST my contrarian points, then it's not a community I want to be a part of. Live in your insulated bubble. lol.
Although I disagreed with your reply, I respect that you replied... If you don't mind replying one more time to clarify your claims that I'm a lying white supremecist. I'd read it.

You do not have the right to believe that children should die because you want to refuse them appropriate medical treatment.
You're not welcome here.
We require users to have a very minimal amount of human decency.

You really are delusional - and it seems your political views are the gatekeeper standards for being in & posting opinions. And that's fine, I guess, it's your subforum. It's just really weak-minded and lacking debate.
"You do not have the right to believe that children should die because you want to refuse them appropriate medical treatment." Again, I never said I believed it!!! I said conservatives have the right to believe that young children might be too young to make decisions that chemically and surgically alter their bodies permanently. NOWHERE did I say I believe children should die -- nor did I defend conservatives who said that. I am a decent human. Thanks for your attempt at a reply.

Comments - Mine then a few friends

For what it's worth, I've been defending LGBTQ rights on yahoo comments... particularly Vs. hate-spewing Christians. If you'd like an example let me know.
[I'm just not ready to say it's bigotry or hate on the SPECIFIC issue of righties disagreeing w/ YOUNG children taking puberty blockers or getting surgery.]

(mod reply:
Yes, we know. You object to things that never happen because Fox News is teaching you that genocide is ok with certain targets.

friend (lol Kylo on the Longbar song):
"I don't see why people's panties are in a bunch. To be honest people need to be more open minded and realize it's 2022 not the 60s 70s 80s etc....tines have changed. So be willing yo adapt or get lost...that's why we have a problem in this country because people are so "stuck in there ways"."

My closer @SUM IT UP WORDZ HERE:
I'm just making the point that a difference of opinion doesn't always mean Hate/Bigotry/ Responsibility of mass shootings.

@Diablo
You ever get into the weeds on cultural issues?

You're probably busy with "someone's" funeral in text?

Does this article prompt any thoughts or non-ficiton opinions?
