Textliness is next to gawdliness.
You just mad I ain't put you in that piece, I got you next time

Neighbor 09-02-2013 12:11 PM

Yikes

Wise Wiggles 09-02-2013 12:18 PM

lol

oats 09-02-2013 02:06 PM

nah you should've seen text back in the day, everyone was at least 5X doper than people now, lots of OMs going gold and plat.

Witty 09-02-2013 02:15 PM

I have genuinely heard people saying text was at its best in 2006, or 2005....which makes me laugh cuz back in 2005 people were saying text sucks and it was best in 2000-2003....people will always think their era was best....same as anything.

I don't know when text was at it's best, and honestly I don't really care.

Frank Metts 09-02-2013 02:20 PM

Its always had its ups and downs ... and its always had its politics

Meth 09-02-2013 02:28 PM

Summers are always down a bit more.

Shit will pick back up in fall/winter.

Diode 09-02-2013 03:32 PM

i feel like it never moved on from the mid 2000s

the hens/kung/etc style kind of took root and stuck

nothing really changed since then. don't see how it could, either.

oats 09-02-2013 03:49 PM

Text is on that new shit, people say the art died
If you want that old text then check the old archives

Witty 09-02-2013 03:51 PM

Perfect.
A+

Fart 09-02-2013 03:54 PM

it got popular with 8 mile and went downhill right along with em's career
in a nutshell Eminem is the alpha and omega of text

Witty 09-02-2013 03:56 PM

Can't lie, 8 mile is the only reason I am here today.

YDK 09-02-2013 03:59 PM

i was never a big fan of text tbh, i just liked writin stories an poems an shit lol then i found out about topicals so i stuck around

oats 09-02-2013 04:09 PM

I was active from 99-03ish, then completely absent till 2010, so IMO shit has changed tremendously. I was honestly shocked to see that it was still around tbh. I think people just get nostalgic. I know I do.

Witty 09-02-2013 04:16 PM

I think people constantly thinking about the past is probably delaying the future.

At the end of the day, it really is only us and a few other sites doing it...most of which are dying.

It's on us to bring it somewhere if we don't want it to die....rather than complaining that it sucks, do something to change it.

Yeah but your smart enough to know text in still kind of in its infancy stage in these terms .... talk to any sports fan who's over the age of 65 about his favourite sport snd he will tell you about the game that was not is ... he will almost always speak of a different era and how much better it was even if it wasnt ... text hasn't been around all that long so all the proverbial 65 year old fans remember better days ... because it was new and pure and they were having fun ... now their older prob burnt out etc etc

YDK 09-02-2013 04:21 PM

lets let it die, then open up a paysite reintroduce it an become millionaires
