Sports Cards
Anyone getting in on the Sports Trading Card craziness?
I got a few nice NBA rookies Autos. A lot of baseball cards cause those are the easiest to find in store. (Bunch MLB Rookie Autos.) A couple NFL Autos. Biggest value card I have right now is a Limited to only 99 made a Lemelo Ball special holo (no auto). And my card is number 69/99. If you are what you got post some pics and I will too if any interest. P.S. I am not attempting to sell or promote a ebay store just curious if anyone else got into it. |
What craziness?

Sports Cards are blowing up can't find them in stores. So much so some are going for triple the price on resale websites. Sports Cards values are way up.

thats not your asset gaining value; thats your currency losing its value.

I don’t own any sports cards my guy. I’m too busy flipping NFTs at the moment. |
They are blowing up right now.

Still have my 1992 BRAVES Dion Sanders TOPPS.
Wonder how much that’s going for. |
^^^^Not much unless it's in perfect condition and you get it professionally graded.
And fucking pokemon is to the moon its insane. Unopened packs from 2000 are going for over $1300-$2000....FOR 1 PACK. Nuts |
Yeah man I only collected basketball cards... my parents even though we were poor must’ve spent thousands and thousands of $ on basketball cards, going through the grocery line and what not.
Even though I didn’t collect baseball I got a Ken Griffey Jr card the original rookie. I still remember my favorite card and probably worth the most other than the ken Griffey.... let me see if I can find a picture. http://www.jordancards.com/assets/uploads/3.jpg And I had most of the beam team series from that year etc. When I was broke I took my 2 card books to multiple sports memorabilia places and basically they were like... we’ll give you 75$ and I was like cool, for which card? They said for your whole collection. I was basically offended like you can’t be serious.. dude said yeah 10 years ago your collection would’ve been worth a few thousand $ easily, but check the sign we’re going out of business in a few months.. it’s not worth shit now. Needless to say as desperate as I was, I’m not selling years and years of my childhood for $75. I’m 35 now... I was probably 21-23 or so when I tried to sell them. |
There’s a good documentary on Netflix about all this called Jack of all Trades.... dunno if it’s still ion there or not though.

I had this set, it was fleer I think but not positive..basketball cards... and if you collected them all, and paid to have them shipped to whatever address the company gave... it was just a promotional thing that they put in packs for awhile, little insert advertisement things. Well they were supposed to send back the same card collection but all the backgrounds were in gold foil instead of regular. Which is the only way you could get them, they didn’t put the gold in packs.
Well anyway... I collected the entire set I think it was like 30+ cards, got my parents to pay for shipping and send it for me. A few months went by no cards I was mad pissed... a few more months pretty much forgot about it. Well they did just randomly show up one day probably half a year later. Anyway, yeah that’s how much I was into sports cards as a kid... a lot. Those had to be worth a lot at some point. |

If you want to try to sell it, getting it graded and getting a good score (out of 10) well more than double the prize of the card. In some cases triple. But if your not concerned with selling then no need to pay to have it graded. And probably not worth a ton of money though. |
