That 80s era war on drugs was fucked up.

I get it drugs and the selling of drugs are bad mmmmmkay (South Park) but there’s been instances in the 80s of people with barely more than personal use possession going away for like 15 years.

That’s definitely not the way to go, and I think we as a country have realized that... but it’s still way way over the top punitive. Way too harsh.

He is already out. Got out in the middle of the Covid lockdown, ironically enough.

Being from Detroit, I can tell you that there was a lot that went down that the movie left out. They barely touched on the fact he was sleeping with Coleman Young’s niece. The kid was used as a pawn and paid with almost his life. All the time he served, yet the politicians and corrupt police force not only got away with it, they got paid as well. This case makes my blood boil.

Well fuck thanks a lot dickhead you just ruined some things I’m only 9 minutes into it... or was and when I talked about it I turned it off.

And yeah I had heard white boy Rick maybe from rap music and maybe from some of tv or true crime shits I like to watch... but just in passing never looked into it.

In the first 9 mins I just watched, finna watch the rest now. I’m thinking no way... I do what I do and yes I deal with white folks.. but this sort of thing street level... unless your dad owned a private plane and had a major connect in some foreign country... no one would EVER EVER fuck with you. People wouldn’t even hang out with PR/DR etc and vice versa let alone a young white kid....shits got to be a set up or some fall boy type stuff...even people who haven’t seen that world knows that.

Let’s see after this and I’ll give my over all analysis, although I think I just did without even watching it.

Like where I was from and I’m sure they’re from if you’re seen with a white person it’s automatic suspicion.

Unless the mosey neighbors personally knew you had a white girlfriend, so maybe it could be one one there brothers or whatever... nah you’re a dead stand out.

In any sort of hood environment you see a white boy down there you think drugs. Or if it’s a female she’s getting pimped. Get real, and most of the time it’s true. Not a good disguise they using that kid for something. Unless like I said his dad had a major connect and even then they’d be telling him nah we can’t be seen in public and vice versa.

Like say an Italian neighborhood me hanging around even people that didn’t normally pay attention would be like... wtf.

Now in middle class let alone lower middle class areas it’s not QUITE.. that divided... but sadly enough it’s reality and it always will be reality.

I could go into just regular upper ish class talking just 500k homes being black trying to sell a vacuum or something or talk about religion or whatever.... cops fucking called in in the first 30 minutes.

Same thing with a white kid like that walking around where I grew up, robbed quick... and if not robbed everyone assume he’s here to buy drugs. The liberal media isn’t doing us any favors by not pointing out some of these things.

Like black people love Asians and identify with them? Fuck no... what weird super upper upper class like... high school community group that is all white people and just some niggas and some chinks you referencing?

That’s not reality... base level all races have a distrust of each other... and in Asian and Hispanic communities sometimes it’s like Laotian vs Chinese or mexican vs . Pr... get real.

As a matter of fact in low income neighborhoods, we all dislike each other. It’s not the mixed race Brady bunch.
