I don’t know, there are some skilled female rappers (I.e Jean Grae, Rapsody etc) but I just don’t think hip hop is tailored towards females, especially ones who aren’t sexualizing everything about their aesthetic. Which unfortunately, are usually the ones with the most to say.

I know you like this because of the beats and the production.

Was very smooth, reminds you of like... uhh de la soul or even black star type stuff in that way.

And I don't like most female rappers, or most rap in general now a days to be honest but she was pretty nice.

Remy Ma went hard on those ra ra hype type songs, I thought nicki minaj was dope AT VERY FIRST, let me make that clear AT VERY FIRST. Not to actually listen to her music, her music pretty fucking annoyoing. But she had cool punchlines.

Jean Grae or jean grey can't remember how it was spelled was pretty nice though, soothing type of voice this lady kind of has it too.

Only listened to 5 of those songs but pretty nice.

2) I saw an interview with her on something, but yeah she's using like... early 2000's battle rap throw away bars. The only thing that makes it different is that she's a manly lesbian doing it.

3) I know I've heard this song before on something... must've been a movie or a TV show, its better than the other two but still not really my cup o tea.

Jean Grae is ridiculous with it. And Che Noir and Rhapsody have killed the last couple years. Lauryn Hill was a better rapper than 99% of guys in the golden age.

Yeah Jean grae was dope I heard her first off something with talib kweli and they used like a Beatles sample or some something. I just tried to find the song but can’t find it, was probably off some obscure mixtape... because you wouldn’t be able to get away with using Beatles anything without major paper.

But yeah over all.. not feeling female rap. Poet thing he posted was pretty smooth though.

Personally don’t consider Lauren Hill a rapper even though she rapped, but yeah she was GOAT
