Well, that sucks. I wrote out a long response... but the page deleted it. Long story short, I think Res barely took it.... although this stood up as a battle of two of the best. It was a good read. Cheers.

Blue Bayou - Quotes were Naruto, packing cookies, Sully. flipping cash, razor close, debunk and closer were close. Blue usually has some of the best worded bars on this site so it feels like this verse might have been rushed a little. Biting example looked like a copy/paste job, saying he's "flipping cash" is a pretty light diss compared to the offense. It works as setup but not very harsh.

Resin MIC - Quotes: Rain delay, participation medal, baseball glove. In vitro, High & inside, drifters bindle, VP debate and closer were close. Resin didn't really have any misses but he had a few bars that were light to me. I don't really think the quotes helped your verse, those are stretches for biting. I would have just gone with a diff setup for the opener.

Vote: Resin MIC Not sure if this counts as an upset b/c both are great writers but my money would have been on Blue coming into this. Definitely seems like an off week for Blue, he came with simpler concepts and he was missing his usually flawless wording. Resin didn't leave him much room for error, so one extra miss cost Blue here.

Good battle, glad this actually came together. I've got it 5-4 in quotables, slight nod to Blue. I gave him points for the Macau line hahaha. Resin, you're verse was strong it just had some real light/throwaway level lines to me - like baseball glove, acceptance and dawn of the dead. The second half really went downhill for me. Solid battle though.

Honestly guys this was a dope battle but I think a lot of bars were wasted on old concepts like Blue’s closer for example that didn’t do much to secure a win. This was a fun read but I’ve got Blue winning it, loved how both verses pivoted off the initial accusation of biting lol

loved this battle. but fuck i totally loved resins verse. some kind of obscure references but very clever. Blue, you were very good too. Naruto was dope, Macau, Shallow, debunk was clever. Res, bases covered, trophy wife, baseball glove, high and inside, stickin with that bag, and the closer.

Hmmmm. I think I have resin w/ the edge here.
I think his better hits were stronger to me.. and more original. Blue was solid and wording sharp but a few like the Naruto line I've seen that flip, same as debunk. Res had fewer of those imo. Blue liked the opener, fortune, sully + others... read like bar fatigue hit you after Zuch. Res I liked high & inside, Gigi, rain delay was cool. closer was ok, fly was too late imo to use.
