it’s a basic closer not really hitting for me


I thought this was a really good battle, Destroyer had an almost flawless verse minus the opener and closer. Blue bayou also had a great verse but the concepts and wording hurt him at times, turns out you can’t always make old concepts look brand new, even when if refurbish them. Tough call but I’ve got to go with Destroyer for being more consistent and witty.

Fuck. Okay... so battle of the week obv, top 10 punches galore. All that good stuff. What an amazing read. You both came with some rapid fire, heavy shots. Personals were on point and especially BRUTAL coming from Blue. That was some gloves off, hit below the belt stuff. But to me, it worked. And Catcher in the Rye... c'mon man. That was insane.

WTF. Twice I wrote long replies with explanations about who won and I got logged out both times. Dumb.

Long story short, this was much closer than I expected. Blue didn’t come up to his normal standards and Destroyer did better than the other couple verses of his I’ve read... both had solid verses, with a few more low points than I’d like (Dada, Parmesan garlic, etc), but enough high points to make it consistently entertaining (Picasso, parenting skills)...

All in all, I think Blue edged it... but it was very close.. and props to Destroyer for upping his game for the occasion. He almost took this.

Kinda basic

Both of you brought it here so props. Des this is my fav verse I’ve read of yours. Lots of heaters and comedy. Felt like the name flips were maybe too many and I just didn’t get the reference on the closer until it was explained to me. Blue went straight for the jugular with cold personals. Kinda did the same amount as des’ nameplays so that evens out. I think des takes this just on preference and consistency for me.

Think you ran out of ideas here.

I dont really know who had the better verse here I'd have to do a point system and I'm too successful in life to do that. I think Des over did it on the Blue lines but Blue had more misses.. The miscarriage bar was destructive and I think the other few good bars were just enough to eke out a win.
