@Ajax First of all, this goes. The sample is handled pretty well, reverb would be overkill if not for your clear theme. Really like what you did with the strings in the main chunk of the song.
My headphones are on their way out so take anything else I say with a grain of salt. When the soprano sax/clarinet/whatever comes back in the B section, I would've liked it to be more present. As it stands it gets overpowered by the drums, which is generally normal, but the overemphasis on drums kills the dreamy vibe for me I'm also not a huge fan of the crash for the same reason. I generally use understated drums though, so idk The intro is nice. I'm assuming it's from the same track as the main beat's samples. I think the intro ends and beat starts just a hair early - the piano is still subdividing ' 1 and 2 and 3 and' but gets cut off on the last and of 3. Really jarring entrance imo Overall though I fw it. Really nice sample and I like how it's an orchestral sample that isn't in your face. The strings in particular during the best feel dreamy. |
Word. Thanks for checking it out.. Appreciate the real critique.
I hate that crash, LOL. I’ve just been too lazy to find a really solid one (or to EQ that one properly). I was hoping people would just ignore it. Haha. Good looking out. |
lmaooo pitched up a bit it would sound like a reggaeton splash tbh
Thanks for posting, I enjoyed the listen |
