Do you guys archive your old writtens?
 

Used to be a fanatic about keeping my old work on Yahoo Notepad, Google drive etc we're talking about stuff from my beginnings of hip hop 2006 onward, but today I had a revelation, I always find myself living in my old work and preventing myself from growing as a writer, kind of revisiting and while doing so kind of trapped myself in this box. So today I deleted all my old work, written and audio, hundreds of verses and burned binders worth of verses as well. It felt kind of liberating.

Do you guys keep your old works? And if so what significance do they bear to you?

not just 'rap battles'..... I beat the best... but I used to write shit just for myself etc and thats in a dell gigantic pc in the land fill, fucking gateway 2000 before that.

I keep everything in a file. Play I still got some actual folders with stuff from the early 00. It’s good to look back and see how you’ve improved through out the years .

I've kept most non-battle verses saved somewhere, though I'm sure there are some gaps in what I have.

Always write in yahoo mail.. Becomes a draft until finished then i send to myself and store in a hiphop folder.
