Rules

Due Dates:
• Verses are due FRIDAY by 11:59 PM PST.
• Voting ends MONDAY ideally
• Battles that lack votes may close later.
• One sided battles may get closed early.
• Extensions are 24 hours, anything longer is a DQ and/or Double DQ
• To avoid issues, you are encouraged to PM me your verse in advance

Line Limit:
• Min. = 10 lines
• Max. = 20 lines
• The max. can be higher if different is agreed upon by both.

Voting:
• I do not have time to count links, and I know nobody wants to post them because it’s tedious. Do your part and vote or I’m making house calls.

General Rules:
• 1st person to post can't edit after the 2nd person posts.
• 2nd person to post can't edit after a vote has been made.
• Feeding = DQ.
• Recycling = DQ.
• Biting = DQ.
• No freeposting, swaying or bitching.
• Unless a picture battle is agreed upon,
linking to your opponent's picture or posting it
means you will disqualified.
• A check in isn't mandatory, but it is encouraged.
• If your opponent doesn't check in,
you still have to post a verse.
• Competitors should agree on a line limit in their check in.
• If no line limit is agreed on, then the 2nd person to post
must match the 1st person's line amount, and can’t post more lines

^ with better wording, this could've been dope. I think for your verse, it lacked sufficiently in better wording and interesting concepts, but I'll say you can refine this style as it doesn't stretch bars. If you read up on older battles in the archives, you'll improve, but as of now, I'd say you have no quotables from that verse. Great attempt though

Between this and the anagram bar, you nearly had a quotable as well. Both bars suffer from some crappy wording or weird shit like "U emailing V?", but it was a better overall attempt in my eyes. I think you fared off better in the battle, but the wording being precise is what will take you to the top. Onlyfans, Dave and Buster, etc. show how creative you can be, but doing things like rhyming "to" twice to end a punch is what hurts it overall. If you also remove some of the filler, like "I put a shotgun to your verse's head"-esque bars, it'd be a smoother overall read.

v- Coop for being more consistent in his attempts, although, I found no quotables to be existent in either verse. I found his verse to be the better of the two

Dave - 1st and second bar weren’t terrible not great flips. Wrong side of average
Rotisserie was clean, okay/decent
Royce- reference was lost on me, I get the angle but loses effect
Chart felt like filler
Flew the coup was an okay name play, wasn’t a fan of the flip execution
Feather was kinda clever, but again I didn’t think you did much with it. Wasn’t hard, harsh or funny.
4 chicken/bird angles was a bit much for me. Rotisserie was good though.

Coop-

Only fans was an okay angle idea. Felt it was worded badly/confusing.
Dave n buster. Was cool
Pills okay angle- execution was soft though
I don’t know what yougoing for with the floss bar
Dyslexic bar didn’t work for me, felt fillerish
Closer wasn’t good.

Idk could be me but I only like the buster bar . That was above average. The rest I didn’t enjoy particularly.

overall, dave had 2 more lines than coop which is a slight advantage, but he dropped first so it's on coop to match. I think overall browning was lotb and dave was more consistent, less misses and his concepts were stronger.

This was a cool little battle. I think Dave won it. His verse was a little wittier to me and had the two lines of the battle (rotisserie and his closer). Coop’s opener was simple and effective, but I think it fell off after that... Dave won.

I’ve got Dave. Smoother, more concise. Liked the Browning line. And Animate/Chicken run. I think if you stick around and manage the teething problems you’ll be up to speed fairly quick. It’s a fine line between corny and funny. I think the opener was too corny to hit. Flew the coop was low hanging fruit. Redskins was a bit better. I’d tend to drop maybe one nameplay max a verse — so it’s probably better to choose your best and use that rather than over saturating. Coop, I liked only fans. I also thought Dave and Buster was cool. After that the verse fell off imo. The ass/tits etc line was too corny. Email line was really bad. The others fell short in their execution in terms of the connections and harshness. This probably comes down to style preference, I liked Dave a little more. Vote Dave.
