Rules

Due Dates:
• Verses are due FRIDAY by 11:59 PM PST.
• Voting ends MONDAY ideally
• Battles that lack votes may close later.
• One sided battles may get closed early.
• Extensions are 24 hours, anything longer is a DQ and/or Double DQ
• To avoid issues, you are encouraged to PM me your verse in advance

Line Limit:
• Min. = 10 lines
• Max. = 20 lines
• The max. can be higher if different is agreed upon by both.

Voting:
• I do not have time to count links, and I know nobody wants to post them because it’s tedious. Do your part and vote or I’m making house calls.

General Rules:
• 1st person to post can't edit after the 2nd person posts.
• 2nd person to post can't edit after a vote has been made.
• Feeding = DQ.
• Recycling = DQ.
• Biting = DQ.
• No freeposting, swaying or bitching.
• Unless a picture battle is agreed upon,
linking to your opponent's picture or posting it
means you will disqualified.
• A check in isn't mandatory, but it is encouraged.
• If your opponent doesn't check in,

Barc- I get the taekwando or how ever you spell it bar but it was to forced with that wordplay an shit, the enfield bar I get with the field of dreams reference decent not great, wander of a path was nice I fuck with that, gun bars in text not feeling at I get the revolving bar concept at the entrance but it’s a gun bar, the sig gun bar is decent the punch is cool but again a gun bar in text?, tea Ko was meh at best kinda cringe.

- not a bad verse maybe the gun bar shit is the new meta ? But not a fun of it reminds me of Charron acting gangster not a good fit. Can tell you kinda got lazy tho or underestimated opponent which hopefully still works out for you.


Wand- answer personal is cool just kind of bland, barkeep is LOTB so far I fuck with that heavy, soft play bar didn’t hit for me unless I’m missing something?, pulling out them heinies wtf like showing ass ? I’m confused on this bar an it’s a pause worthy bar, whistle and crash is ok nothing over the top but cool, closer was ok as well nothing to major tho

- you had line of battle but also had a bar or two I didn’t understand the concept so if you can please PM me so I can update my vote accordingly

Close battle tough to decide. Barcotic had too many really forced gun bars and wanderer tapered off a bit. I’ll give it to Wanderer just because it was less samey

Wander off path & zoo entrance were great from Barc. Some shit was light. Wasn’t feeling that opener at all though. Same with the closer. Wanderer had the bar keep line and lengthy cartoons. Opener was decent, could have used a more creative take. Heinies for me personally was a stretch. It works (high knees) but I’ve never referred to multiple Heinekens as “heinies”. Read this a few times but I’m leaning Wand in a close one.

First off, props to both of you for posting early. Thought you both had decent drops, although I would’ve liked to see you prep a bit more.. each verse seemed a little hurried. I get why some ppl feel like Barc’s opening nameplay came off a bit corny, but the punch more than made up for it, imo. The last 3 I quoted from him were solid punches; not haymakers, but good bars. Wanderer had the best drop I’ve seen him come w/ yet.. “Barkeep” & “cartoon falls” were super solid bars, but I felt like some of his other lines suffered from wording issues which detracted from the impact. I think’s Barc’s verse was more direct & his misses were slightly better than Wand’s, however I could see it going either way. I’m a fan of consistency & how clean the punch rolls off, so I’ve gotta go w/ Barc here. Great read, fellas

I know this has been the line a lot of people have harped on but I don't hate it. The wp is obviously a little bit awkward in reality and I don't see any evidence anywhere that blue bruises are worse than purple bruises, but the overall the idea is dope and it's a decent bar

I'm not 100% sure that every zoo entrance actually has revolving doors, so this might not land for some people - but I've experienced this and I know what you're talking about. and I think maybe you could've extended this with something about animals to make it hit harder, but its ok

Wanderer's verse had highers highs and lower lows, and tbh I think when he missed he reallly missed. I'm not gonna lie, Barc was much more polished overall and a bit more consistent, but if I were to rank all the bars in this battle, I think wanderer has at least 3 out of the top 4 bars of this battle. I think this is just a case where Barc came in and expected an easy win, so he threw together a quick verse and wanderer stepped up his game and landed some decent punches and I don't think Barc had anything strong enough to really control the momentum in this battle.

At the end of the day, wanderer is doing what people who elevate do. He's faced with a tough opponent, drops a verse that's better than what people are used to, and ends up pulling off an upset. Hopefully he keeps trying to improve on himself because I think he can be a top competitor with some more consistency.
