Week 7: Letterman (4-2) vs. FGR (4-2) - LETTERMAN WINS
 

Rules

Due Dates:
• Verses are due FRIDAY by 11:59 PM PST.
• Voting ends MONDAY ideally
• Battles that lack votes may close later.
• One sided battles may get closed early.
• Extensions are 24 hours, anything longer is a DQ and/or Double DQ
• To avoid issues, you are encouraged to PM me your verse in advance

Line Limit:
• Min. = 10 lines
• Max. = 20 lines
• The max. can be higher if different is agreed upon by both.

Voting:
• I do not have time to count links, and I know nobody wants to post them because it’s tedious. Do your part and vote or I’m making house calls.

General Rules:
• 1st person to post can't edit after the 2nd person posts.
• 2nd person to post can't edit after a vote has been made.
• Feeding = DQ.
• Recycling = DQ.
• Biting = DQ.
• No freeposting, swaying or bitching.
• Unless a picture battle is agreed upon,
linking to your opponent's picture or posting it
means you will disqualified.
• A check in isn't mandatory, but it is encouraged.
• If your opponent doesn't check in,
you still have to post a verse.
• Competitors should agree on a line limit in their check in.
• If no line limit is agreed on, then the 2nd person to post
must match the 1st person's line amount, and can’t post more lines.

Well, this not the easiest one to call but le me recap.. I’ve got feed the 5,000 as my LOTB followed by miracle whip and then FGR’s biatec line. Aside from that one miss from letter, I was feeling more of his bars overall soooo...

Overall this was pretty close. Letterman had the best moments but a couple of misses for me. FGR was pretty consistent throughout. I think if his concepts were worded better he may have snuck this but Letterman’s first 4 and closer were good enough to take it.

Pretty cool, short battle here... Although some stuff seems familiar that I read off RB or elsewhere. (Mandarin) - that said it's pretty neck & neck. I liked FGRs angles by a bit. I have Letter here for a bit more overall polish.

V Letter

FGR, I don’t know if you do this every week because this is the first I’ve seen you in a battle, but you force the wordplay too much. One dimensional verse and the wording was off. Couple clever plays but they didn’t amount to much. Sorry my man, just wasn’t feeling it.

Letterman, opener was cool, next bar was solid and I liked the baptism line personally. Your stuff was worded better and the structure was solid. Cool verse.

All of his lines were pretty good, I got the biatec thing because I can read inbetween the lines but it seemed like a really obscure reference.

it was witty/funny and I haven't heard the madarin thing before. Overall I thought all of FGR's lines were about as good/potent as all the others... none of the lines were bad but none were mind blowing or anything.

lets see what lettermans got that could be enought to beat him... i'm voting as i'm readinf for the first time...

that was dope, gun bars are kind of an easy cop out... but basically every line of FGR's was a gun bar.. and to me this one was the best of the battle

Overall I just looked at other votes, I try not to so I don't bias mine... but I'd just say Letterman was better, liked the way he worded things and was slightly more fresh. Other than the mayo sandwhich line.. that shit didn't even rhyme. But yeah.. looks like everyone voting against FGR... I think it was a lot closer than a shut out for sure. But yeah...

biatec - bit obscure as wordplay but we've all been there, executed well though
inlet - this was okay again wouldn't know the word/link to tie in straight off the bat though.

Madarin been done a few time and better tbh. Always seen it as man daring as well but accents and all that.

Letter

opener - decent jab got half a nose exhale
mayo sand etcs -not as good as opener but follows well
sunken place - sunken place was a weird phrase even though I know what you mean, okay with all the tie ins still workrd well
baptism- seen similar but you added in the nose detail and it was delivered well so okay

I got let pretty easy here. Fgr was okay here but Letterman put up a pretty solid verse.
