Rules

Due Dates:
• Verses are due THURSDAY by 11:59 PM PST.
• Goal is for voting to end Saturdays
• Battles that lack votes may close later.
• One sided battles may get closed early.
• Extensions are 24 hours, anything longer is a DQ and/or Double DQ
• To avoid issues, you are encouraged to PM me your verse in advance


Line Limit:
• Min. = 10 lines
• Max. = 20 lines
• The max. can be higher if different is agreed upon by both.


Voting:
• I do not have time to count links, and I know nobody wants to post them because it’s tedious. Do your part and vote or I’m making house calls.

General Rules:
• 1st person to post can't edit after the 2nd person posts.
• 2nd person to post can't edit after a vote has been made.
• Feeding = DQ.
• Recycling = DQ.
• Biting = DQ.
• No freeposting, swaying or bitching.
• Unless a picture battle is agreed upon,
linking to your opponent's picture or posting it
means you will disqualified.
• A check in isn't mandatory, but it is encouraged.
• If your opponent doesn't check in,
you still have to post a verse.
• Competitors should agree on a line limit in their check in.
• If no line limit is agreed on, then the 2nd person to post
must match the 1st person's line amount.

eh im not sold on the wording on this, but I like the idea.

nah im not really feeling this, the connection between the concepts just feels too weak and im not sure if this is supposed to read comedically but the wording is in that line between aggressive and funny where it just doesnt stand out

the rhyming here is kinda sloppy, and the concept here just doesn't really have much foundation



So wanderer I think started out pretty well and kinda fell off toward the end. He had higher highs and lower lows while slecht kinda stayed at the same level throughout the battle. It's a bit tough to vote on imo, I think if this was a longer battle slecht could've possibly edged this with consistency, but the excavation bar was definitely lotb imo with my second favorite being a tie between ice picks and quarantine haircuts and the keynote speaker bar at #3. Then there's probably a run of slecht's bars, followed by wanderer's last 2.

but overall I gotta give this to wanderer for a stronger showing

liked Slects connected punches more but Wanderer had the better overall verse

The 'Draft Day' line was alright. Nothing else really connected for me.

The 'Keynote speaker' line was pretty good. Everything else was fairly light. Might just be because I'm not into similie bars.

I thought this was pretty close. I'd edge this to Wanderer because of the bars I didn't mention, I though Wanderer's were better.

Closer & Picks we're your best IMO.. I think some bars lacked due to being to simple or too obvious a flip

I liked slechts execution more but preferred Wands ideas & concepts better....having the top 2 punches as well so my vote goes to Wand.

While he's gotten a lot of magic wand nameplays, I haven't seen this exact one. It's alright, but a little basic and the wording isn't that harsh
