Shadow of the Colossus on PSPlus for free this month.
 

Great game. I remember reading a GameInformer magazine before it came out when i was a kid and seeing pictures of these giants. I read how beautiful the world was and how magical this shit is. Then when i finally got my hands on the game i spent like 2 days straight trying to beat this shit. Lol Now it's been almost 20 years and its still just as amazing. I'm fucking stuck again and don't want to read a game guide either. Cuz that's half the game right there. Doing it is hard enough, but figuring out the trick is the real challenge. First 3 are a breeze. I'm on the 4th one now.

i remember the world is pretty big and you find these gigantic monster things, you have to figure out how to kill. by like climbing up them and finding soft spots and timing/jumping and shit if i remember right

i didn't play much of the mordor games but if i remember right those were more hack and slash type games

Ohh well I'm not playin' it then...Yeah the Mordor shit (I've only played one) think it was called Shadow of Mordor was hack & slash, I sorta liked it then it just got so repetitive, had to sell it...Like Bloodborne, that annoyed me so much to the point caused an anxiety attack...

SOC is seriously one of the greatest games ever made and it's free for PSPlus members. Why not try it?

The dude behind it is originally an artist as well that just used game development as a medium to express himself and the story. Do I remember it right? I think I do. Either way, the guy basically made a greek comedy into a game. Simplistic and easy to understand plot, love, sacrifice and a strong will. It's seriously powerful from a poetic standpoint too if you care about that shit.

I haven't really fucked with PlayStation for a long time. Not out of preference or anything, just haven't.

Also, I may be way behind but Xbox One is definitely not the equivalent of 3DO. But props for the reference.

It wasn't to be disrespectful fam...I used to fuck with 3D0 a lot, especially that Demolition Man game, & only switched from Xbox to PlayStation 'cause of the exclusives & I hate the controller...

Yo I seriously downloaded it today, loved the intro & shit...Then when I was given control was like wtf! Lmao...Tell me where to go or what to do bro, I peeped the map & see no checkpoints, Got on my bitch ass horse that gets way in front of me...Pointed my blade to the light & that did nothin'...Fuck is happenin'? Told you these games ain't my thing, Am I wasted yes? That's the best time for me to comprehend...But this shit to me at least, makes no sense.

You hold R1 and point with the light beams with the right stick. The horse tripped me out at first too. You tap triangle to make him go forward then just steer. So once you get the general direction where you need to go you just find a way to get there. The first few are easy.
