Wanted to check in. How is your jiu jitsu going?

I am a one stripe blue. Have my first blue belt comp in 9 weeks.

I feel like I have a solid guillotine for my level and probably the Kimura and arm bar and arm triangle.

My regular triangle needs work. Still have some trouble getting out of closed guard, I think I prefer open guard/half/knee shield.


Really just wanting your words about jiu jitsu with the hopes that I may learn something.

How long did it take you to get to blue tip?...

Bout 13 months

My 10 year old wants me to sign him up for the Haganah jujitsu academy spot down the road, now that he’s found a whole new love for the sport of grappling/wrestling.

Thinking about doing it with him.

Impressive...On average to get full blue takes 2 or 3 years.I'm a 4th dan in Karate but have friends that do Jiu, Good shit fam.
