Do y’all know about the REAL ID?
 

Those of you who are in the US? Supposedly as of October you can’t board a plane unless you have the REAL ID.

I wouldn’t ask but almost no one I know, knows about it. Granted a lot of the people I know probably don’t plan on boarding a plane any time soon it I do. But it’s federal law as of October if you don’t have it, you will be refused to board a plane.

I want to be able to and will be a few times soon I imagine. All you have to have to get it is your original birth certificate and then take it to the DMV. My problem is, my mom sent me my birth certificate thing that was given to her on my birth, but it was issued by the hospital, and not the actual state of New York... I have a copy of my actual state NY birth certificate, but it’s literally like a scanned computer copy. We’ll see of these country Michigan fucks accept it or not on Monday.

But yeah if you didn’t know about it know you know... google REAL ID

Because if they don’t accept it I don’t even have the slightest idea about how to go about getting my real real original birth certificate from out of state

I'm a American citizen yet can't back in, go figure...

when you renew your license/whatever the past few years they let you know and give you the option

I heard about it but I’m going to call bullshit because my girl has been on planes since October and I don’t remember her saying shit about that? Maybe because she has her passport idk. Or maybe it was before October. Her ppls just went somewhere this weekend idk maybe I’m the only person who don’t gaf enough about it I don’t go on trips

Listen to me man.. what you need is a stamped... blah blah blah stamp. As of october, and if you have no intentions of ever flying on an airplane.. well then who cares.

My mom lives in sarasota florida, my dad lives in new rochelle NY... I live in Michigan... and even despite that I might want to go somehwere.... you need that ... and so what you need, I was worried about my original birth certificat which I have from kings county hospital, but its not like state legislated... its from the the county not the ny state govt

See ... Diode knows what i'm talking about... now if you have a passport thats fine, because you have to show a birth certificate in the first place, so all that is null and void.. I actually still have my passport because I went to the UK when I was a little kid, but thats mad out dated.


Now I have my original social security card but no one cares about that... I have, literally... my mom sent me my original thing from kings county new york.. but it was stamped by the hospital... I have another little thing that says kings county from the state etc.. but its clearly a copy

at this point living in michigan I Really don't know what to do to even get it back
