dull boy 02-01-2020 09:53 AM

I think Aes did it.

And he sounds a lot different than he did on Labor Days. Especially production wise.

Better.

@Ouch mad over that last line

I never intentionally bit anyone

but that line sounds like a bite from Mark Twain which was like, if you stare into the abyss too long the abyss stares back

Diablo 02-03-2020 02:16 PM

You mean Nietzsche?

dull boy 02-03-2020 04:25 PM

I'll be honest, I've never really even looked at Aesop much, but I like this so far.

Viewing was interrupted.

We take it where the warlocks lock horns, soda pop, popcorn
Top notch gore set to Bach over fog horns
Snotty nose, clogged pores, fork in his heart
Back away or catch a halo made of orbiting stars, yea
Transform in the dark, got a dog nose sniffing out the source of the snark
Got a cat's ears twitching every snap of a twig
Triangulate your position, a simple rabbit to skin

Damn.

Diablo 02-05-2020 02:00 AM

What does any of that even mean, though?

dull boy 02-05-2020 09:18 AM

We take it where the warlocks lock horns

A warlock is a sorcerer, which he is referring to himself as, because he’s a wordsmith, but also because it sounds cool, I’m assuming. Locking horns is a euphemism for fighting.

= he’ll take it to violence

soda pop, popcorn

Things you have when watching a movie.

= it will be a show

Top notch gore set to Bach over fog horns

Bach is a composer of classic music. Google the sound a foghorn makes.

= the bloody (gore) fight/show will be beautiful, but loud and obnoxious

Snotty nose, clogged pores,

This is a reference to his album Malibu Ken. Google the cover.

fork in his heart

The phrase, ‘stick a fork in it’ refers to checking to see if something is thoroughly cooked, but is used frequently as a euphemism for something being done, or finished.

= his heart is dead

Back away or catch a halo made of orbiting stars

This is a cartoon reference. When someone is knocked out there will be stars around their head. A halo is a circle, often above an angel’s head.

= he’ll knock you out

Transform in the dark, got a dog nose sniffing out the source of the snark

When the sun goes down he will change. Dogs have very a sensitive sense of smell. Snark is what this post is full of. Can you smell it?

Got a cat's ears twitching every snap of a twig

At night, animals use their hearing to track prey. The breaking of a limb or stick or the ground as your prey steps over it would alert you to their location.

Triangulate your position, a simple rabbit to skin

Triangulating is a method of pinpointing a position. Now you’re caught and just a carcass to skin, which is what you do to an animal to remove it’s skin.

You dense, mfer @Diablo xoxo

dull boy 02-05-2020 10:54 AM

Also, no one knows what it means, but it’s provocative.

Gets the people going.

And

“We the American working population
Hate the nine to five day-in day-out
But we'd rather be supporting ourselves
By being paid to perfect the pastimes
That we have harbored based solely on the fact
That it makes us smile if it sounds dope”
