Been watching Peaky Blinders

Took a while to get in to it...I nearly gave up tbh, the third episode kept me watching and I'm glad I did because it is a genuinely top quality show. Can only watch it at weekends because me and my girl are watching it together and that's the only time we see each other. One episode in to season 2.

Any other shows you can recommend?

I tend to be behind the curve with this shit...for example, I only watched breaking bad last year.

Peaky blinders is fantastic. As is breaking bad and game of thrones. I'd say these are the top 3 series of recent times. Some other stuff out worth watching if you like these types of show are taboo (made by peaky blinders folk and has Tom hardy and another fictional period peice) Ozark is pretty good sort of has that breaking bad type feel.. sort of. Power is definately worth a watch as well for your out an out good shows. Narcos and sons of anarchy as well we're pretty good. I had a shameful love for Originals but not the show it's a spin off from that's more your dark fantasy/pretty people fucking type show. Oh Better call Saul as well the breaking bad spin off. But... First series wasn't great an takes some time to get into. Series 2 and 3 though are where it's at. If you liked House MD the Benedict cumberbatch version of Sherlock Holmes is ok. Vikings and blag flag were enjoyable also although I'd say taboo be the better choice of the 3 if your heading into that area. Stranger things is definately worth a watch an not like anything else mentioned here

My newest one is Happy! About a fucking hyper violent mother fucker who sees a little girls invisible friend who is a unicorn. Sounds fucked up.. it is pretty fucked up tbh but it's got great irreverent humour

I watch alot of Netflix at work.

Love this show

I want to watch game of thrones but I'm a little intimidated lol isn't there like a hundred episodes and an extremely intricate plot? Idk if that's the kind of show you can just start watching....plus it's like the biggest series of all time...some faggot will ruin it for me.

Aside from game of thrones this is the only other tolerable brit show

Both are great

Nah man it’s worth it. Plus there’s allot of tits

Flow 08-18-2018 08:13 PM

Highly rate Taboo if you like Peaky. But game of thrones is amazing and tbh the plot isn't that difficult to follow it's just keeping up with the names of all the characters. It's like breaking bad though.. gets better and better as it goes on. An it's pretty fucked up lol

Big Bolo 08-18-2018 08:51 PM

Peaky blinders? Uhm Never peeped it

Desperate housewives

watch it. you are wasting your time indulging in anything else.

its straightforward as far as the story goes, like its been mentioned it might take awhile to remember names and shit. but it doesn't make it any less enjoyable. it isn't hard to follow at all.

it just seems more complex than it is because of all the speculation of fans trying to put 2 and 2 together for what will happen in the future.

PancakeBrah 08-19-2018 02:12 AM

GoT isn't complex. As always disregard everything uh oh says. GoT is truly good for 3 seasons then solid for the rest, which is high tier for me. Watch it.

Peaky Blinders is good for a season or so. Then you can enjoy the vapors for another. I stayed up until 2 am binging it. Thought it was wonderful. Then after some thought I decided I never wanted to watch it again. The whole Clockwork Orange ultraviolence is fine. Even with my lower opinion of it I still think the principle actors do a good to great job. But it's so much style. Such good style. Match the filter and grittiness and Cilian Murphy and a Tom Hardy guest spot and you can smoke most television. I wont go into specific spoilers but the show betrays an overreliance on plot and specifically plot twist that undermines the whole endeavor. I watched it as a character study and eventually came away very disappointed. I put it just below Boardwalk Empire but exactly in BE's tier. Supposedly great but actually a post-Sopranos attempt that never gets the details right. At least BE had that box scene, which blows anything in Peaky Blinders out of the water.

For me Boardwalk goes as far as you can take Buscemi seriously and how much "look how far we've come" porn you can enjoy. I saw the box scene and decided to stop because I decided the show couldn't top that, in any imaginable way. Could be wrong but I doubt.

My whole thing is every considered serious drama is going to be interesting and well acted. So if that's true then pick the zeitgeist (GoT) or the one with something to prove.

Watch The Knick 100x before Boardwalk Empire.

Exis 08-19-2018 08:02 AM

I honestly have never heard of this, I'll def peep tho based off what y'all have said.

BodySnatcher 08-19-2018 05:59 PM

Boardwalk Empire was ok for me but i knrw thr history of the story before hand
