I recently peeped the dragon ball super tournament from hearing some DBZ references on here.

Haven't they already encountered Brolly a couple times? But now it's like they've never seen him but can turn super saiyan god?

I'll probably watch it at some point if it's on youtube or one of those anime sites.

You're out of the loop but, this is a reboot of Broly all those other movies throw out the window they have no relevance to this one at all, he's a new character now. And this takes place after the tourney with Jiren.

Also Toryiama is an idiot and notorious for forgetting shit. Toryiama had nothing to do with the writing of the past Broly movies, he only did the characters design.

Technically no, they haven't encountered him before.
The previous animated movies with Broly in it were not cannon. (as he was a character created outside of the universe that the manga/anime was based on)

But fans loved him so much, that Kale was created in his image (one of the first female saiyans who has a berserker-mode transformation that looks just like Broly's legendary transformation)

But that wasn't good enough, so now - we get the real Broly revamped specifically to be introduced into the actual DB universe.

Also, I'm kind of glad they waited until Goku and Vegeta could go Super Saiyan Blue bc it gives them a chance to show just how powerful Broly is.

This looks much better than the 3 movies.

Ya boy is stoked...I was hoping they were gonna give Broly an IQ this time, still not sure how that's going to go yet. But Broly is def top bad ass Sayian, he's the epitome of what sayians were known for....crazed genocidal killers that went to Different planets to wipe out the inhabitants. I'm def catching this on the big screen

Those movies were trash except the first one. The first movie was ruined when Goku kills Broly with a punch and brolys power caused him to explode .... gay

The original broly movies are my favorites. Particularly the one where he mindlessly attacks Goten for sounding like Goku when he was crying.

I'm afraid this new one will disappoint me. But I'll certainly keep my ear to the ground about the reception it gets.
