i had to look into how it works though, apparently its sports writers voting, and its a purely regular season award. i don't pay attention to the regular season so i can't really comment on it.

its still strange to me that the award doesn't go to the unanimously greatest player playing though. everyone agrees lebron is the best and has been for over a decade now. jordan should have more than 5 as well honestly.
