i understand the conflict itself, as much as anyone who isn't a scholar can lol, this is more a PONDERING on why the right views the conflict the way they do. this was a random lunchbreak MUSING so maybe i didn't put that out correctly.

i have no real love of the jew or arab. but i see conservative people speak on the matter like israel is some blameless nation operating purely in self defense. i mean i see them say shit like palestine was never a place, and im like uhhh. it definitely was for literally millenia? i mean sure it wasn't a self governed body and shit but thats not really the fault of the region. its like saying florida never existed because it wasn't a nation in itself.

and sure i view hamas and hezbollah as terrorist-ish organizations and all that, but they arose from aggression like every other terrorist group

and what about "israeli's are just all out rambo'ing peaceful protesters" seems like a lie to you? they've murdered 60 people from afar with snipers. they've left fist sized holes in the bodies of almost 500 people. there were 14,000 protesters. 99.9% of them are armed with less than a tennis racket. 0 israeli's have been injured in this protest.

But the conservatives see it as Hamas, a terrorist organization let it be known they were attacking the fence with the hopes of breaching it when the embassy was being moved to jerusalem. They basically ordered it to happen. Israel responds by letting them know in advance aggression will be met with aggression. They dropped leaflets and everything leading up to it letting them know they will be met with force if they forcibly try to invade

So they did anyways, the conservatives claim there were molotovs and weapons, they post vids showing palestinians shooting drones out of the sky to show it isnt an unarmed mob. They post pics of upwards of 20 of the 60 killed that were known hamas members/terrorists claiming this mob isnt peaceful palestinians but a coordinated effort by hamas

They also say why shouldnt they kill these people, if they dont they would kill them once they breach the fence blah blah

But again personally im in the middle with this conflict. I dont like israels land grabbing and warmongering but i dont like the narrative of the palestinians being peace and love and just wanting to co exist

if you're(conservatives) saying this is a terrorist organization spearheading this(which how is israel not considered a bigger terrorist organization??) why did only 8 out of 14,000 people have any sort of weapon?

and SAYING "if we don't kill them now these unarmed protesters will eventually try to kill us" is about the most bullshit justification ever
