He's Drake but with no swag. Dude has the least interesting persona in all of hip hop and his slightly above average lyricism can't mask that.

Drake can harmonize & identify with women though. Both men and women can listen to a song of his and be like Drake knows how I feel. Rappers & R&B artist can vibe with his melody. Mumble rappers & lyricist don't feel threatened by him he's safe. J Cole doesn't have a lane. J Cole is the Fart of hip hop. No one really cares about them but for some reason they keep showing up.

Drake smiles and varies his vocal tonality in songs and on SNL skits. He has charisma and millions of dollars but he's softer than charmin ultra. Obviously I can't compete with him in terms of social status but I think I'd beat him in an mma match.
