I'm a real motherfucker not afraid to cast the first vote so let me show you how this done pussies: Barcotic - Poke a Haunt is works fine in my accent but I can see some people saying it doesn't. Fire IMO. MRI/'em are eye opening was dope as well, two solid punches off rip and worded really clean. I fuck with it. I wouldn't pronounce Usada the same way you might but that's good, I can see it working in your accent definitely. Babysit is another good concept, I think maybe the wording didn't fully do it justice though here around the wordplay, it sounded a bit paedophiley when read a certain way tbh LOL and I've seen them young girls you be posting. Inf Adele again works completely fine for me with a pause in there, I haven't seen this done before either so I give it props for creativity. Flag football was clean as fuck, worded real smooth. Street Musician was cool but having two back to back gun bars maybe hurt it a little, you know? I'd have tried to space them out more personally and kept it to a varied attack to get more impact from them. Michael Bennett was dope, Mike Holmes was a similar line to the previous but not as good here and again, similar idea but done back to back, I'd have spaced them out throughout the verse to maximise impact. Cop Out was just okay, could have done more with it I felt. Solid verse, real consistent, started off with crazy fire but maybe lost some pace towards the end aside from that Michael Bennett line. Infiltrate: Nice concept for the opening line, I fuck with it. LOL @ Dr Evil line, that's hilarious clownage right there. Possibly my fave line so far in truth as Barc seemed to take a more serious wordplay based attack rather than straight up clowning. Some might say the Shark tatt thing is played, to me nothing is played if it's done right and done well. This a clear example of that. Hush line was just okay, Omelette was another good personal idea but I wasn't keen on the "skull fractured" wording, just drew it out too long for me, too wordy and could have been cleaner. LOL @ Boof seeds line though, that's cool. Potara Fusion was ill but I can see it being too vague for some people to to get without looking it up. Rick Moranis was nice, Red Wings on your back like a Blood eagle was lost on me, I'm not sure what a Blood Eagle is tbh so I'm probably missing something here. Barbicide was another heater, I fuck with that. Ascension was cool to close. Okay so Inf had LOTD for me with that Dr Evik shit, seemed to keep it consistent throughout where I felt Barc started off crazily then seemed to have petered out BUT reading back through I definitely more of Barcs shit landed stronger than I did Inf's here, it was probably the wording to be honest as Inf seemed to try for too much at times and it ended up convoluting what was a good idea in all the unnecessary details. The omelette/fracture shit off hand here springs to mind. Good idea, just overworded to the point the punch itself lacked something to me while Barc was just straight zingers then into the next one. Ive got Barc taking this but props to both you guys for real, this is an ill matchup. Much respect. |

Poke a haunt just sounds weird. Mri was cool, us ads a bit of s reach but okay enough, babysit clean but light, Adele was corny, don't get the next one, street musician needed a better link, don't get the Bennett line, don't get the Holmes line, closer light.
Inf- opener good idea wording hurt, Dr evil was dope, hush okay, omelette good personal wording could be better, void line was okay, don't get potara, Rick Miranis was okay, barbecide was alright, closer was soft. I got inf here, bars verse was pretty light overall. Very jab by no real haymakers. Could concepts lost on me/not familiar with. Clean verse but lacked the big hits. Vote Barcotic, more clean and just better style overall. Did at least as much damage without stretching the lines. Unfortunately, in this battle, there was some rather forced wordplays, inside jokes and a few references lost on me. Overall I think Infil had the better concepts and aggression, however several of his punches came off as... cumbersome. The cracking skull could have been used way better for instance. Still, a nice battle from both sides, but I prefer Barcotics more direct approach here.

inf had a few misses that were just lackin in certain areas. imo u can tell his focus wasn't all the way there vs what i've been reading from him in the past month or 2. he's a diff beast nw. i love the idea of the shark tatt lasers, but the wording on it ruined it for me. but the potential i envisioned there would've made it lotb imo. omelette could've been better & i didn't care for red wing nor closer. barbacide had me shleep. cool battle. but i would have to edge it to @Barcotic w.a better overall verse. gd shit from both tho |

Ok, Barc basically had two lines of attack here -- wordplay and nameplays (his and Inf's). The wordplay that started the verse was hard to nail on the first go round. Pocahontas needed to be sounded out a few times. Same with MRI. Same with Usada. Soe I had a difficult entryway into this verse. Started picking up steam in the middle -- I like the Adele bar (gym playlist as a diss though, lol, love it)... but the wp doesn't work both ways for me. The Inf Adele / religious angle wasn't strong enough for me. The other nameplays were your own -- last week was the first time I saw you referred to as Mike in the battle. I'm so-so on it. Yo, so I just wasn't wow'ed here is basically it. I had more problems than I had nod-along moments essentially.
Inf -- I like the opener, I don't get the tattoo reference, but it's written well. The wordplay attacks were great personals -- working in the omelette concept was genius. Really after that, the verse kinda fell off. The Dragonball line was written nice, but I don't relate to it. There were good concepts and solid rhyme-writing but I didn't get floored by anything really. So here's my dilemma. Barc was more consistent through the verse, while Inf was strong off the top and weakened towards the end. I still gotta hand it to Infiltrate though on personal preference. I got a gut reaction from a few of his bars. Barcotic didn't give me those feels at all. Vote -- Infiltrate |
