The Premier Text Battling Tournament

Rules

Due Dates:

Verses are due Sunday,
Voting ends Thursday,
Battles that lack votes may close later.

One sided battles may get closed early.

Extensions are normally 24 hours
(unless requested otherwise, that is),
can be no longer than 48 hours
and have to be granted by your opponent.

Line Limit:

Min. = 10 lines
Max. = 24 lines
The max. can be higher if different is agreed upon by both. If no line agreement is made you CANNOT go above 24 lines

General Rules:

1st person to post can't edit after the 2nd person posts.
2nd person to post can't edit after a vote has been made.
Feeding = DQ.
Recycling = DQ.
Biting = DQ.
No freeposting, swaying or bitching.
Unless a picture battle is agreed upon,
linking to your opponent's picture or posting it
means you will disqualified.
A check in IS mandatory -- if there's no check in by Friday, you will be replaced.
Competitors should agree on a line limit in their check in.
If no line limit is agreed on, then the 2nd person to post
must match the 1st person's line amount.

Swerve was solid from start to finish, nothing crazy tho, no real stand outs. As opposed to KK who had 2 or 3 hard quotables, VOTE KING KARAOKE.

started with a strong opener ended it with an alright closer. overall verse was alright had some dope lines. good verse tho

Winter Classic Battle Analysis
Pardon the intrusion this is time for prosecution
Read both verses and came to a conculsion
They both had their strong and weak joints
But this time one one will receive points
The complimenting men one was the fun line
The one about Amen`s children was a cold rhyme
It was surely enough to snatch the win
If there is a round two then let the match begin
Swerve not a bad verse karaoke was better
Definately a worthy contender
Its not a joke he got the vote

Altered carbon was decent
Canadian was decent

vs

Black circle was nice
Lime light was really dope - LOTB
Mimic was alright
Triathalon was tight

I thought Swerve took this handily. Had some very good lines and better consistency. Karaoke had a few bad misses and his best bars were decent but didn't match up.

v/ Swerve

Carbon, Compliment, Mixed Children
Declutter, Canada was ok

Black Circle, Limelight, 3 races was alright
Bumps was ok, Karetaker was eh execution/ ok

Very close match. Swerve mighta had the lotb w/ the opener, then limelight flip....Kara was more consistent w/ solid hits throughout. Swerve had a cpl misses like the lady dorito & box home...Kar had a cpl bland lines too imo. Eh.
