I know you got Borat and Sasha Baron Cohen's other creations, but did you get Ali G?

Probably one the funniest characters in the history of comedy characters IMO

i just didn't know about it until after it was relevant, but passing mentions and knowing of the character without knowing the character make me think it was a thing here too.

Sascha is super well known overall but Ali G wasn't super star stuff. I watched it all when I was like 14 it 15. Some friends knew it more didn't

I remember Ali G to be just as big or even bigger than Borat here in Norway, but that might be biased because it was one of the things we talked the most about for a longer period of time while Borat was dope af for a month. His interviews just came at a perfect time as Jackass, The Dudesons and South Park were doing their thing.

@ACTIVATE SELF: Idk, I feel it's a tie between them tbh. As far as it goes to the biggest troll of this time period I got to hand it to the extremely offensive Wonder Showzen for trolling everyone including its viewers.

Sasha was on his grind for years though even before the Ali G character really took off... I remember watching The 11 O Clock Show and he used to have a small slot on there, maybe just 5-10 mins long, then he eventually got his own shows and movies etc and did it big.

I think Lee Nelson owes a lot to Ali G as well, similar character and all when you've seen enough of them both but not really that noticeable at first I don't think? Now I've mentioned it though you'll be looking for it lol

Nah i noticed that with nelson. When Ali G interviews the animal rights activists where he catches the guy out, he offers an ultimatum if I recall, eat a McChicken Nugget or I kill another Chicken..that was classic.

Ali g was class, it's still funny now. It was trolling before trolling was really a thing. The people he chose to interview were great as well.
