who has the most shutouts in the modernish era?
with the ravens getting their 3rd shutout of the season today, i decided to google, and can't really find shit.
so i googled the 2000 ravens, which had 4 shutouts, all in the regular season, and the 85 bears, which had 4 shutouts, 2 of which in the playoffs while reading the ravens stat it said the last team to do it was a 70's steelers team, but im guessing they meant the regular season since the bears obviously did it. but word who has shut people out though the most |
also the browns are still on the schedule again, so assuming the ravens don't shut out the bengals or colts, the ravens could easily tie their mark
its a much more CEREBRAL defense than ravens defenses of old, which is probably the wrong word im sure. but instead of being flat out stout, and holding offenses to nothing altogether, they are extremely bend but don't break. but instead of bending and holding to field goals its more bend until they get a turnover. so they give up a bunch of yards, particularly on the ground, but the secondary has feasted all year. particularly on inept lackluster qb's. they face the likes of tom savage next week, jacoby brisset in a few weeks, kizer again (who left the first game after playing miserably with a "migraine") and andy dalton who they already held to nothing week 1. roethlisberger and matt stafford could do work though, particularly if the ravens offense provides no help. i dunno. im hyped over this defense and the remaining schedule im just hoping the texans D doesn't feast on flacco next week and the ravens get shutout lmao |

CANTON BULLDOGS WOULD BE YOUR TEAM IF THEY STILL EXISTED, AMIRITE? |

so i have a disdain for the bulldogs. but if they were a pro team i might fuck with them because then they wouldn't have been our rival. fun fact tho, since canton/massillons rivalry is so entrenched and historical, it is the only high school football game you can bet on in vegas. in our poor shit cities, they got like nike sponsorships and charge crazy taxes to build stadiums, massillon has an nfl style giant practice facility, canton mckinley lucks out and has fawcett or whatever its called now, the hall of fame stadium. but word. they ain't churning out too many pros no more. mckinley had joe morgan who was with the saints for a bit. massillon had devin smith who went to the jets and washed out i think they get alot of d1 scholarships though for being shit cities. also massillon had a pretty big documentary (go tigers) that caught flack because it showed high school kids partying and shit. but that was back in like 01, and before they built alot of shit onto it. |

but i seen an article today, the last 5 teams to shutout even 3 teams, were like the patriots in 04 or some shit, the 01 rams or some shit, the 00 ravens, and a couple 90s teams. 4 of those 5 won the super bowl that year as well. |
Word.
I still remember my HS rival for football AND baseball lol... I mean those games were fucking fun and tough... Always ended up having swat on the field breaking the fight up, tho. It was either us on the field got in to a brawl or the families/fans in the stands getting in to a brawl. |
I think inno didn't like your try hard amirite and caps lock post. Came off as a diode post.
|
I see... MY bad on the CAPS. accidentally had the CAPS LOCK ON and didn't feel like back spacing and retyping, lol...
