Who from #TeamText can potentially overthrow #TeamTopical in the Lyric Olympics?

I know anyone can beat anyone on their day, but realistically here, #TeamTopical have the advantage early on simply because THIS IS THEIR SPECIALITY nahmean? The same way you wouldn't expect an NBL vet to be losing to a storyteller. But it does happen, there's upsets, robberies or whatever you like to call 'em.

It's gonna take someone with creativity and originality most likely to dethrone #TeamTopical and save it being just the storytellers that hold its title. It goes without saying though, #TeamText are some of the most creative and original writers we have here. So that's a huge attribute for those guys to have going into this IMHO.

It's an interesting dynamic. Someone on the battle side is eventually gonna have to step into the topical arena and take that title from them.

Who do you thinks best suited for it?

Personally id like to see @Cred write a poem about clappin the kkkkkkkkkk

LOL that would be dope

We've a few people here who can do both to a good standard. @Vulgar has been known to dabble in both. @Pinot Grij has too. I know @Certain text battled way back at RNR, as did @Frank. I've seen @Pent uP text battle at RM. Text battlers who've also wrote topically is a tougher one, maybe, but I've seen @ill nik-A champ a topical tourney at either LW or RTM. I know @Resin M-I-C has wrote the odd topical before now but not sure this is for him. You have the older guys like @Fracture or @RichardCorey that put it down in both formats. @Headless Verseman competed in both. It's difficult with the newer guys. @Ullr does both are RR. @Bags killed Veritas in the tourney finals. @Cashius was dope vs Bags in that other finals where they faced topically. @Mr. J may fancy a shot as I've seen him in the NBL previously as well as the AOWL.

Agreed.

Aren't too many as good at both skill sets as Pinot. He's the danger man in the equation here, the other interesting thing (to me) will be to see who will play safe and stick with their stronger suit and who will take risks and defend their title with their lesser chosen field. Unless it alternates each week, we could be in for a pretty topical dominated start to the LO.
