While I do agree his list was extremely "cookie cutter" (I think that's the phrase you were going for) to say Metallica isn't metal is very dumb. They might not be Static X or Lamb Of God but they're literally the forefathers of fast metal. Kill Em All is STILL considered one of the best thrash albums of all time. Ride the Lightning, Master Of Puppets, ...And Justice For All are the albums metal heads deem acceptable but EVERYONE in the metal scene knows that first Metallica record fucking thrashes.

I've always liked Pantera, Slayer, Metallica, and bands in those ilk. But when there's no music and it's just screaming I lose interest.

lmao i dont listen to it AT ALL but my wife is into bands like One Minutes Silence etc and a lot of our shared friends are into that scene, a lot of my horror friends are too etc
